Blind Items Revealed #2

September 6, 2019

As I told you would happen, this former A+ list mostly movie actor who also was a former A+ list comic has a team of people pitching him jokes each day. Back in the day, the jokes were all his.

Eddie Murphy

As everyone has said before, his old jokes where mainly from his late brother, not "all his".

Since tranny jokes are off-limits now, he can't draw from life experience.

This isn't unusual or a big deal, many active comics and humorists work with writers/buy jokes. A guy doing stand up again for the first time in 30 years I'd be shocked if he didn't have writers.

I am constantly surprised he's still alive, seemed like he just disappeared into the void.

He's probably out of practice in writing jokes. He's had movie scripts for years. He's also been living a wealthy, pampered life for years which might put him out of touch with sources of material.

Sad. His jokes weren't great to begin with. AIDS kisses and his outfits. Blech

He's had ten kids, done loads of movies (great to bad), and all of the relationships and experiences that go with both. Im sure there's some epic material in there. Im hoping the writers are more support than ringleaders. Still believing his timing and delivery will make for an entertaining return.

There's nothing wrong with employing comedy writers. There are some very talented writers in the world and they need to make a living too.

True, at least he's compensating the team of writers, he's paying for their ideas, not just stealing them like a lot of hacks out there.

Delirious was hysterical. Nowadays shrieking snowflakes would bitch about it invading their safe space.

No they weren't. The jokes in "Raw," were co-written by Keenan Ivory Wayans and Robert Townsend. Two of the funniest people of that era.

I think Delirious was the best stand-up show of the time. And I really look forward to Eddie doing a stand-up show again.

I really want it to be awesome, but I’m so afraid it’s going to be bad. He was so high energy. It’s going to be different. There was an actor or comedian I can’t remember who talked about Eddie Murphy having a body double who did everything- 95% of the movie except face close ups, actual appearances, maybe even red carpets, bonkers. Real casual he said it. It never gained traction. Whenever I see Eddie Murphy now I’m always scrutinizing him trying to see if it’s really him.

The person running this site should hire some writers. Would be a vast improvement on the dreck they pumping out currently.

If whomever writes the bulk of these Blinds was replaced, the guesses/comments would decend into a endless void of chaos, at least until the new nomenclature was solved. Probably like 10-15 minutes in real time.
