Blind Item #7 - Reader Blind
Some of the deceased actors who starred in it were this pioneer of early TV who allegedly had an X Rated claim to fame, this actor who fathered an even more famous actor and whose biggest role was as a TV detective, this comedic actor who at the time was in a popular ensemble TV show wherein he played the title character, and this multiple Oscar winner more associated with a different genre.
After shooting was done for the day, the actors would party and these parties would often turn into orgies. At one of these orgies, a prostitute died. It was an accident as she was very drunk and fell down a flight of stairs. However, there happened to be several Hollywood luminaries visiting the set that day and partying with the actors so to stop any scandal the body was dumped far away from where it happened. The woman had a police record so there was no further investigation.
The early TV pioneer made veiled comments to a biographer referring to this event in his lifetime.

I dont see the big deal. She wasnt murdered, she was a Darwin Award Winner.
How did she die? OD, or like the hooker who died in Very Bad Things(yeesh)?
What a disgusting story, and how sick for people to think that she could just be thrown away like garbage.
I don't see how Peter Falk fathered a more famous actor. In the Mad Mad cast, that would only be Carl Reiner. Unless Peter Falk fathered Fairuza Balk.
Indeed, the Peter Falk clue is mixed up. Otherwise it all fits.
But what this about "the woman had a police record so there was no further investigation"? Hooker deaths may not be law enforcement's #1 priority, but people have been convicted of murdering them - think serial killers - and the authorities do tend to look askance at body-dumping.
Are we talking about Fatty Arbuckle?
The famous actor who fathered a more famous actor is Jim Hutton, father of Timothy, who starred as Detective Ellory Queen.
This sounds like the movie "Very Bad Things"!!
The movie was "Who's Minding the Mint?"
Some of the deceased actors who starred in it were this pioneer of early TV who allegedly had an X Rated claim to fame [Milton Berle], this actor [Jim Hutton] who fathered an even more famous actor [Timothy Hutton] and whose biggest role was as a TV detective [Ellery Queen], this comedic actor [Bob Denver] who at the time was in a popular ensemble TV show wherein he played the title character [Gilligan's Island], and this multiple Oscar winner [Walter Brennan] more associated with a different genre [westerns].
I'm struggling with picturing Gilligan at an orgy.
That's it! Mango got all of the other players.
@hush hush did you NOT read the blind? It said she drunkenly fell down a flight of stairs.
Never heard of this movie, and it sure does sound like a Fatty Arbuckle era type horror. Sounds like Mango's got it, though.
bob was a lil wild and prefer not to think of him that way too.
@Mango - Oh, cripes, I saw that picture when I was 10 years old. It sucked, hence the orgies. On Mad Mad World, you can see there was a lot more work for the actors, more of whom were older.
