The leaked recordings of the failed A++ lister are just the tip of the iceberg regarding the real story behind the killing of this foreign leader.  His own country set him up passing on the okay as well as other information through this much larger country who is their ally who passed it on to the country that did it.  There was the worry that he was getting too powerful and was planning a coup, something he threatened to do publicly several times before. In addition, activities undertaken in another country were not approved and was just him acting on his own authority.
