Mischa, Mischa, Mischa

Oh Mischa Barton you tell good stories. I just wish you were as good of an actress. Mischa sat down or stood up or did something with Time Out New York and they decided to print it. I am pretty sure the reporter is probably still laughing. Not about what Mischa went through, but her explanation for it.

"I went through a tough spot where everything compounded on me, and it was like a perfect storm, like everything was happening to me at once." And by everything she must mean getting a job as an actress on a network at about $40K an episode. Oh, and of course the flying back and forth between London and the US for some modeling gigs that paid her as well. I'm not seeing the storm yet, but I am sure there is more.

Yes, here it is. She had "a terrible wisdom tooth surgery which went wrong and is still just healing." Well, sure, I think that is why the psychiatric hospitals across the world are filled with patients who just had a wisdom tooth pulled out. Makes perfect sense to me. But wait. There's more.

"I had to get through it without proper painkillers because I couldn't take those during work. So it's been a nightmare."

Oh, she was on set while they did the surgery? I'm confused. She said earlier it happened before the job started or was this while she was modeling? No pain killers huh?

"I was down in the dumps about everything there for a while. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom about things and have to get the most stressed out just to feel better again. I got completely stressed out and couldn’t handle everything, and now I feel really in control."

This actually ticks me off because instead of admitting her problem and maybe helping others who are having issues in their own life, she is basically saying she can't handle the stress of making a million dollars a year and working a little bit. WTF?

"The funny thing is, if all this happened in New York, no one would care. New York lets you be who you are, and people aren't as judgmental. I'm so glad to be back here."

Oh sure. It is because it was in LA. No one would have even noticed if this had happened in New York. She cracks me up.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out at once, spent one night in the hospital (military required it for single people) and then got 2 dry sockets. I had never had any teeth issues before that so it hurt bad and the dry sockets were pure agony.

They gave me 3 days worth of tylenol-3 and I was at work again 2 days after surgery while it was about 4 days before the dry socket and all they did for that was re-pack.

My face didn't swell up and I was able to work/speak fine, it just ached quite a bit.

Lame.

Why would you pay $40K a week for a bad actress who may or may not be able to work on a weekly basis?
I would take bets that she doesn't make it for the whole run of the show.

What else is Ashton getting for his money?

DE - LU - SION - AL!!!!

i cannot stand her. own up to your mistakes and people will respect you more - especially if you are honest.

do these people think the public is stupid?

She's just amazing. She complains about NY when she's in CA, she complains about CA when she's in NY and she complains about the US when she's in Europe.

It must have been so hard - the wisdom tooth surgery, her overseas appearances, getting ready to play herself on tv....

And the stress of it all I'm sure wasn't helped by all the partying she did while also working.

She needs to get her story straight before doing interviews.

hahaha finn that was hysterical!

i know i cant imagine how difficult it must be to make $40K for a day's worth of work. gosh some of us out there make the same amount for A YEARS WORK!

be grateful....bitch.

I knew she was coo-coo for cocoa puffs when she did that interview recently with a fake British accent.

Straight-up addict denial. Blame, blame, blame. It's never her fault. She didn't do anything anyone else in her position wouldn't do.

She needs help.

Maybe she and Anne Heche should get together.

So, we're all gossip whores here and can spot spin, which is clearly going on here. But I'm honestly guessing that most of the rest of the world read this and goes "oh, ok." I know I used to.
See? Gossip mongering = LEARNING

Yes, we are pretty cynical here.

Has she never heard of MOTRIN???? There are other pain medicines you can take that aren't narcotics. In fact, my patients are given them all the time after big surgeries and it's what I was told to take after I broke my wrist in three places. OH! I forgot! Then there wouldn't be anything to blame, right Mischa?

Why is she even famous?? I don't get it. Tons of women are more attractive with more talent She should be incredibly grateful.

The fake british accent is very popular amongst the break-downers, isnt it...

I wish these celebrities would spend 2 weeks working at a regular job at a regular salary. I doubt they'd bitch, show up late, and complain about their Hollywood jobs if they did.

For those complaining about the accent, I think she's like Gillian Anderson of the X-Files. Born in Britain, left when a child, but raised in the US. So, the accent could be natural, especially if her extended family is British.

Way late here on Friday noon-ish, but...

What a DUMB C*NT.

Ha haaaa @ Lenore! Yeah, Aleve works wonders.

I'd rather see her just STFU than dig a deeper hole.

I myself have learned that technique the hard way over the years...

Just saying NOTHING is often wayyyyyy better.

jeremy piven definitely takes win for the worse spin ever award, but this one comes in a pretty close second.
