Gregg Allman Getting Married For 7th Time

You really have to love the whole marriage thing to keep trying it for the 7th time at the age of 64. To make things even more interesting, Gregg's future wife is 24. Yep, that is a 40 year age gap. Hey, but when he is 84 she will be 44 and no one will even talk about the age gap anymore. Do you realize it has been 33 years since Gregg and Cher got divorced. His current girlfriend's parents were probably in middle school then. It was pretty much also the last time Gregg Allman had any kind of success in music. Cher was not even wife number one. She was wife number three. Oh, and that does not even count the two women he never married but had children with. This guys has been a a busy man.

saw him on the view the other day, he was kind of hard to understand and flat out refused to commment at all on Chaz. I had forgotten that he and Cher have a son who is also a musician and probably older than this chick (who is very pretty..run girl run!)

Oh, to be a fly on the wall in Cher's house while she's on the phone discussing this with those closest to her.

Cher will be on the hunt for Bieber.

Lord have mercy! Maybe he's got one foot in the grave and she's hoping for a quick payday. I'd be marking the days off the calendar like I was in prison or something if I was her.

Frufra said...

Eww, he's only 64? She should have picked an older rich guy. That could take 20 years to play out. And apparently he doesn't have that kind of attention span.

Frufra said...

One more comment - his smile kind of looks like he's had a stroke. Maybe that's why he's hard to understand.

Fuck that snitch ass bitch.

Frufra said...

@ Temp - don't know to whom you are referring, but your avatar is solid gold.

Meh. They are bother getting what they want. Her = Some money and fame, him = Young tail.

No victims here. More power to them.

Bother = both. Gotta love my iPhone

Frufra; Thank you, dear!

I was refering to Gregg...he ratted out 3 of his friends back in 1976 on a drug case. It ended the Allman Bros Band I believe. He's a dirty rat.

Frufra said...

Oh, well, gotta hate a snitch. Not cool from kindergarten up to age infinity.

She kinda looks like a dude.

I fucking love The Allman Brothers. I'm going to start singing Whipping Post at the top of my lungs until one of my co-workers takes a swing at me.

Greg's past relationships included Shannon Wilsey, who was just sixteen when he first crawled into the sack with her. He was twenty five years older than her. After their breakup, she got into porn and became the famous porn star Savannah. She ended up committing suicide.

He also had a relationship with Jenny Arness, daughter of actor James Arness. He dumped her for Cher, and she committed suicide as a result.

Gregg is hard on women. He's hard on his body, too, with his years of substance abuse. He had a liver transplant a while ago.

This the the redneck part of redneck rock playing out.

She is totally not hitting that for the money.

and when she is 44, she will be 19 years divorced from Gregg Allman.

I heard the Howard Stern interview with Mr. Allman. It was the most uncomfortable interview I've heard in a LOOOONG time. Poor Howard, and in my opinion he conducts very good interviews. Greg Allman, evidently has done way too many drugs and suffers mentally and physically from the lifetime of substance abuse.

Greg Allman = Hot Mess!

No offense, but you have no idea what you're talking about, regarding gregg's musical "success". The allman brothers band has been touring quite successfully for FORTY YEARS! Thats how musicians make their dough. The band itself is still completely badass and is a force of nature if you ever need to hear a true rock show. Gregg's voice isnt as strong as it once was, but is still one of most distinctive.

Rejectedcarebear, I saw the View interview as well. Painful! He had two word answers and poor Whoopie had to take over. Joy sure tried to bring up Chaz, but he would have probably had a stroke if Whoopie hadn't stopped her. Definitely deer caught in the headlights! I wonder if this woman is actually a CNA that he is getting to marry him? Saves face - he gets a hot, young wife - and she gets a check for the rest of her life by being his caregiver?

If touring every year and doing the State Fair/Casino circuit makes one a continued success, then I guess KC & the Sunshine Band, Little River Band, Cinderella, Human League, Howard Jones, I could go on forever, are still quite successful and popular too.

@Cecilia00 You are so correct, it's win - win for both of them. But, I still think they're losers.

And how could she not feel embarrassed, it's all so transparent.

What's up with his kid Elijah Blue? Isn't he some crossdresser with an "alternative" lifestyle? That kid is about 36 now.

Could never figure out Cher and him. She was so anti-drug and he was drugs everywhere.

I had read somewhere of a mother-daughter groupie duo that toured with the Allman Brothers. The girl was barely a teenager at the time and I think she went on to help some guy kill some people in a drug deal gone bad or something like that. The lesson: The Allman Brothers fuck up women.

Gregg Allman is the embodiment of Just Say No. The Allman Brothers produced some great music but who really wants to see the aftermath of so much drug abuse? He'll be on #8 in two years and at what point do you just stop getting married?

auntliddy said...

Why on earth wld they bring up Chazz?? Its not his mKid, and he was married to his mother fir 4 yrs 33 yrs ago! What could be possibly hv to say?? Chazz is not some freak to be brought up for shock value conversation. Shame on Joy!!

auntliddy said...

And come on, if this chick saw an old guy looking like Allman shuffling around the A&P, wld she hv made a play for him? He is no prize either, and shes silly to think thus will work in any way.

@auntliddy: Don't forget, Anna Nicole Smith said she would have married J. Howard Marshall whether he was a billionaire or not! Their love was true!

Saw the View interview. Painful. The best comment was Baba Wawa stating: "and you are what now, 74?" No one questioned it, and when he said no, he was 64, I was shocked. He looks like an old man and could barely talk. Sad.

I have seen Gregg Allman- and the band he tours with KICKS ASS.

I will not defend the marriage nor could care less- they are both consenting adults.

Elijah Blue is a well known musician/artist....also is well know for admitting to f*&^%$#g PARIS HITON and afterwards pouring clorox on his dick...google it.

It is never pretty to see your ROCKGODS grow old.

I give him a pass. He had a rough life. Lost his father as a toddler, then his brother just as the Allman Bros. hit it big. I saw him on CBS the other morning and he was literally being spoon fed questions and answers and couldn't do to much with the info. Seems as if either he had a stroke or lost lots of brain cells over the years.
I first saw the Allman Bros back in 1979. They put on a great show. Still do.

Yeah, I caught 3 mins of The View when this segment was on, which happened to include when the camera was on her stating her age. I don't know who he is, but the air was full of unsaid statements. From the comments above, it seems the ladies of the View kept it classy, but it would be nice if someone asked the 24-yr old at least one question about wtf she's doing.

Pink_Palace said...

I used to like Joy, but he said no comment and she kept digging. I quit watching when Rosie left. It was must see tv then - you just knew someone was going to lose it on a daily basis...Whoopie keeps them together and is just too likable, darn it...lol But I was glad she took over yesterday! She shut down Joy's pie hole and that was lovely!

I'm starting to just feel sorry for guys like him who are so intimidated by women their own age that they're afraid to be with someone who could be a true partner. They need someone to always stay two steps behind them, so to speak.

They can't all be Paul Newman, I guess.

I saw Gregg in concert a few years ago in L.A. It was the best concert of my life-because I heard the pain and passion in his voice. I agree that his voice wasn't as strong as his earlier years, but it was full of deep emotion. I cried like a baby during a few of his songs.
He also spoke to the audience and was lucid, funny and shared stories of his life on the road.
I watched the View, too. Did anyone notice how uncomfortable he was? The man was a wreck-he was wringing his hands; clasping them so hard I thought that they would bleed. Could it be that he was nervous, not whacked out? The guy is in control on the stage, but you cannot interview him-that is how some artists are.
The guy is 64, has lived a couple of lifetimes, been through a lot of women, and it going to marry a 24 year old. So what?
He has given me some of the finest music I have ever heard. Rock On, Greg.
