I was hoping you'd pay your respect to the great Bradbury, Enty. Thanks.
Oh my heart stopped when I read this post! So upsetting! Ray Bradbury was my hero in high school, loved his books. Made my lonely teenage years tolerable:(
This took my breath away. Wow.
One of the only sci-fi writers I truly loved. Read anything of his! RIP
^ditto, RIP.
Loved his books, esp his short stories. For some reason i loved reading them in the summer, and alot if short stories were about summer. Remember Mr Electro put his hands on him and said he' d live forever!? 91! Pretty close!! Rest in peace, ray.
And I had just found the tribute "F*** Me, Ray Bradbury" on yt.
He will be missed.
Bradbury was one of the masters. Condolences to the family and fans. (Sadly ala Dawson, I thought Ray had already passed too) One of the best Bradbury shoutouts still has to be the Two Cathedrals epi of The West Wing. "He (Prof Loomis) banned Fahrenheit 451 which is about banning books!"
This one is awesome. Written in 1950, but oh so appropriate for today!

Mr. Bradbury= genius!
WOW WOW WOW! Tons of sads pouring down my cheeks. RIP Mr B.
RIP
bless him
...a moment of silence, the Summer begins with a a sip of dandelion wine...and with a hint of irony yesterday - as two celestial bodies pass one another - they take him with them.
Goodbye...and thank you for the perpetual On switch of our imaginations, our memories, and letting us know it's okay to have a heart to go with our minds, and always a little magic in our lives.
Thank you...Dearest Douglas.
I knew him and he was one of the sweetest people in the world. I'm very sad today. Safe travels, Ray.
"My tunes and numbers are here. They have filled my years, the years when I refused to die. And in order to do that I wrote, I wrote, I wrote, at noon or 3:00 A.M.So as not to be dead."
Ray Bradbury
RIP
At least HE didn't start a cult. Good man.
Hope your journeys in the Hereafter are everything you ever dreamed they'd be, Ray...
This is such a sad day. RIP Mr Bradbury, I hope you find everything to your liking on the other side. I shall never forget the burning point of paper.
Will miss you, Ray....
Fahrenheit 451 = one of my favorite books of all time.
RIP and I pray one day I can write half, ok a third as well with equal success.
We had a 4-inch thick compilation of just SOME of his short stories when I was a kid. What was so amazing about Ray Bradbury's mind was that each story, each setting, each everything was completely different. All different, and yet all so vivid. He must have had such an immense memory & intellect. He's always seemed like he wasn't quite one of us, like he was really just secretly a 'visitor', a character in his own story.
I know that sounds dumb, but he seemed always super-human, or far wiser than human. I dunno.
RIP, sir. thank you for all the stories.
You were my first love Ray.
Enjoy one of my favourite quotes of his.
"Everyone must leave something behind when he dies, my grandfather said. A child or a book or a painting or a house or a wall built or a pair of shoes made. Or a garden planted. Something your hand touched some way so your soul has somewhere to go when you die, and when people look at that tree or that flower you planted, you're there.
Love love this talented man...RIP
Mr. Electro was right--through his work, he will live forever. Or for as long as people read, which for me is the same thing.
That's sad. He was brilliant.
Beautiful tribute, Himmmm. Bradbury will forever remain my favorite author. Remember to jump off the cliff and build your wings on the way down!
