Despite what they would have you believe, this celebrity couple did split earlier this year, at least for a bit. She is A list all the way and he is a far cry from what he used to be and to be honest would be D list without his wife who keeps his name out there. Otherwise he would be a one album wonder. Anyway, he discovered as much when they split because his wife canceled all his cards and access to their bank account and he realized he had no money of his own. None. He didn't have the heart for a messy legal fight so came home and has been kissing butt ever since.

Gwen seems to me to be the kind to believe that a baby will fix everything. She seems very naïve.
Maybe things HAVE gotten better and the baby isn't a Band-Aid baby. Let's hope, for the baby's (and the other kids') sake at least.

Ya know what? Gwen has put up with scads of bullshit from him for years. Why? Cuz he's HAWT. & she loves his ungrateful ass. I believe she phrased it best in "Underneath it All"
You've used up all your coupons...& all u have left is me, & somehow I'm full of forgiveness....." I'm certain no matter what happens Gwen will take excellent care of her children. & he appears to love the kids too. A hell of a lot better than what many children go through....she's richer than she could even fathom, I don't think she is naive. She's a nice catholic girl that thinks marriage still means something. So quit hatin, Gwen is the shit!!!!

I like Gwen and Gavin. They make a good looking couple, and have made a couple really cute kids together.
I think everyone keeps trying way beyond the expiration date so they can look back and say "Hey, I tried". Also I do think Gwen adores him. Every marriage goes through rocky times. I'm rooting for these crazy kids.
One album wonder huh??? Sixteen Stone: 6x Platinum, Razorblade Suitcase: 3x Platinum, The Science of Things: Platinum. And he wrote all there songs (11 top 5 songs, 5 #1's, on the Alternative chart). The 90's was when you would be making TONS of money. So really doubt he is broke. Oh and No Doubts last album...Bombed big time and she hasn't released a solo album in 6 years.
I think Gwennie wanted another baby (a girl to play dress-up) and she preferred that her children all had the same father. Even if that father is a sullen toolbag that cheats constantly and dictates her personal style/hair color. I’m not sure that I 100% agree with that hair color & make up rumor, btw. I think the peroxide, pancake face and cherry lips are part of her trademark and she’s afraid to shake-up the brand by trying something new. God help her when her hair falls out. Anyway, maybe she figured that if Gavin’s gonna be around for a while, he might as well make himself useful?
Everyone squawks about how some of these woman “can have anyone they want” but can they really? At Gwen’s level of fame & money who the fuck is she gonna get that she can trust not to use her for publicity/ruin her business/drain her back accounts? Who can she trust enough to enter her kids’ lives? Some vain drugged-up actor, musician or producer? What rare specimen of a man in the entertainment biz (or outside of it) exists who wouldn’t be eaten alive with envy and consumed by competitiveness? Same thing goes for Beowolf. If she splits with Jay, who is that bitch gonna get on her level or above that will put up with her shit and isn’t working on their own fame angle or some “possessing a superstar” fantasy?
Some of these people have a lot to lose, they can’t just bounce like the rest of us. Sometimes it really is cheaper (and less messy) to keep his stank ass in the house and everyone agrees (outright or via denial) to get some nookie on the sneak tip. It’s only after we busybodies find out that it’s all smoke and mirrors that they scramble to manufacture some bullshit statement or admit to “working through a rough patch.” Please.
We joke on here about self-absorbed celebrities sitting in overpriced mansions dazed on drugs, oblivious to the world around them and examining their pores for hours in front of the mirror, but they really do care what people think. Whether that concern is driven by $$ tied to their image or plain ol’ human nature depends on the celeb. I also agree that naïve is the wrong word to describe Gwen, she’s running lots of businesses! Nope, she’s IMMATURE as far as love relationships are concerned. We all saw that Behind the Music episode ages ago featuring No Doubt. That girl is like a teenager still stuck on how things “should be” instead of accepting things the way they are.
Once she stops bullshitting everyone and digs deep into what’s going on, she’ll write some good music again. I saw ND when they toured with Paramour and they were awesome. She needs to have this baby, take a year off to reflect & write her ass off. Come back, Gwennie!

I don't think Gwen is having a baby to save her marriage - I just think she wanted one more baby. She certainly has enough money to raise it alone, if she does throw Gavin out one day.
His career was fine till he got involved with her.
I always feel very sorry for her whenever I read her interviews. She seems to take the crumbs Rosdale throws her way. Does anyone remember the interview where she said she wants her husband to like? I felt really bad for her.

Exactly! She's a grown woman, with great success. We all have our weaknesses...it could be way worse. She's not on drugs or acting like a uber whore, that's why I don't get the hate.

I don't think people "hate" Gwen, but have a lot of contempt for her. She just lives for her husband's approval and makes people scorn her. I also do believe she keeps the same look to keep her husband, because it's the identical look of his tranny boyfriend!
I bet one day she is going to get sick of it all and just dump him.

I read, years ago, that she told him that she hated "his" music, and apparently that's when Bush ceased to be. She didn't like the metal, which is too bad, because Bush was a great band, and was loved "back in the day". So she essentially neutered him, and he's tried a comeback, but he wasn't being true to the music that made him popular to begin with, he was playing some other type of music, and it SUCKED. Idk, if I were a man, and my disposable POP MUSIC wife dissed me into giving up the music that I love, I'd probably start acting-out and not being very happy, either. I personally don't understand the attraction to POP music, and the love for No Doubt, I think they're LAME, just my opinion. Bush was WAY BETTER than No Doubt, again, jmho. It can't feel good to have your spouse neuter you, creatively. (And I, too, think her style NEEDS to change, the CONSTANT RED LIPS, white hair, boring. She looks so much better in the L'Oreal ads with the pale lips, and I bet she'd look even better with the pale lips and her natural dark hair. Just sayin').

@ksierra: I totally agree. No Doubt was a gimmick band whereas Bush had its roots deeply in Neil Young, and put on a great live show. That said, I don't understand all the Gavin hate and Gwen love. She has no talent and is just living off her crap clothing line. And don't even bother flaming me--y'all have your opinions and I have mine and neither is more valid than the other. I haven't called anyone out by nom de plume, haven't slammed anyone for their opinion--just stated mine.

She didn't like the metal?? When the heck were Bush metal? Holy Jesus. They were middle of the road alt rock/ballad pop. He DID give up his career for her though. Although unless he and the band changed career routes, they would've medically had a short shelf life.

Although I never found bush to be of my taste (ha ha, that sentence made me laugh), I agree that Gav sidelined his own career for Gwennie.

Yeah ... I'm calling BS on this one. And yeah, I agree with those saying Bush was a quality band. Very talented. Great live show, if you could hear them above the girls screaming in your ears for Gavin, who was considered quite dreamy "back in the day."
