I believe that Rihanna has more money, but not because of record sales. She's had decent album sales, but nothing on the level that you would expect based on her number of hits. She's always been more of a singles artist. And singles aren't moneymakers. My guess is that they've sold similar numbers in total, and if you throw in Destiny's Child albums, Beyonce has sold more.
From what I understand, Rihanna's makeup line is selling like gangbusters.
