Their voice kinda sounds the same. When Julia came out with that song “Issues” and I heard it on the radio for the first time, I thought for sure it was Selena.. Julia just sounds better. Im just having a hard time thinking of her as an A lister but ok lol
Looks like Julia is more than friends. So Selena really is just the sales person, the face to sell a product and couch when necessary. 🤔
Michaels is prob a list in the songwriters world. She knew issues was a big hit and wasnt about to give it up to a mimer! :)
Selena has the notarity to sell records that julia micahels doesnt and I'm sure sure homegirl is getting PAID, doesn't sound like a bad gig to me.

Julia Michaels wrote most of the famous songs from Justin, Selena, Britney Spears, etc. It's well known and public. No secret there. Ya'll really think Selena is that talented?
Julia gets paid, gets her voice/music out there, and gets to avoid the toxic publicity that comes with being a celeb, while still being friends with one. Sounds like all win to me
