So, Is Urkel Going To Win Dancing With The Stars?
If Katherine Jenkins was known in the United States then I would think she would easily win this competition. The problem is no one knows her so even though she is going to great scores from the judges and is spending 24/7 with her partner, I don't think she is going to win. Everyone knows Urkel. Even if you did not watch Family Matters for one second, you know who Urkel is so if he gets high scores from the judges, people will also vote for him and he wins. Urkel and Katherine tied for the top spot last night on the premiere of Dancing With The Stars. The first week you should always get your highest scores because you get to train the longest. It is after that first week that the weak performers really start hitting bottom. Gavin DeGraw? I was expecting much more from him and also Martina Navratilova. She spent her entire career moving her feet. Gavin will be the first to go. Melissa Gilbert sucked and my impression is that she practiced the least of everyone and is not taking it seriously and she will coast for five or six weeks based on name recognition. If things get really desperate for her she will play the Michael Landon family card and have people over the age of 80 using their cell phones to text for the first time ever.

Ugh - I forgot to tape this and had to watch it using In Demand. That means I had to sit through a bunch of people and commercials to get to Donald Driver. I left the TV on while doing other things and caught a few more dancers. I have no clue how this show rolls so I can't guess who will win. I just want to root for Quickie.
Donald Driver deserved a much better score esp. compared to some of the other scores that were given out. There were a lot more good performances than I expected. I just might stick around this season.

And Maria Menuonos is exactly as annoying as I thought she would be.
I'll leave the commentary on the show to people who watch it. I was just surprised at how different the guy who played Urkel looks as an adult. I would never have recognized him.
Good Lord, you failed to mention William Levy. He probably won't win cuz of the fan base, but you never know. Hot, hot, HOT!

I was blown away by Urkel. He was handsome and graceful and elegant and a fantastic dancer. This could be a very good career move for him because all of a sudden I could see him as a romantic lead, whereas, who would have ever thought of that before? Good for him. You go, Urkel.
Urkel is making a brilliant career move, you know he's hoping for a new show or hosting gig. If DWTS could fix Mario Lopez, it can certainly fix him.
I don't remember her name, but a few years ago they had another female tennis pro on the show and she was terrible...stomped through her dance and was (I think) the first to go. I thought of her as soon as they announced Martina's name.

I almost never, ever watch DWTS.....but last night, I could not tear my eyes away! Jack Wagner sucked balls, Donald Driver and William Levy were hot, I was pleasantly surprised by Gladys Knight.....but my favorite was Urkel....the comparison to Gregory Hines(who ws probably one of my biggest crushes as a little girl, loved White Knights) was spot on!

I decided to watch this season. I agree with @deity2, Jack Wagner thought he was better than he was, Donald and William were great, and Urkel was fabulous, a graceful, very watchable dancer.
Melissa looked liked she was bored when she stepped on the floor, and expected to be loved, she was not loved!
Martina was very stiff and robotic, a common look with people who are not sure of the next step on their own, they just stand there and wait for their partner to spin them somewhere.
Katherine, was lovely and graceful, could be a great dancer.
Sherry wasn't great, but she brought such a huge smile and great energy to the whole thing, folks loved her.
Gladys Knight was good, not great, but the crowd loved her. She has natural grace and showmanship.
All in all, a very good opening night.
God Enty don't say that....I never text either. Number one, there's nobody I want to tell things to that much, and number two, if you need to tell me something, call my ass. If you can't call, then wait till you CAN call.
I knew Urkel would do well. I remember a few episodes where he was turned into cool Urkel. He had some slick movies.
