It has been too long since we have heard from AP. Hell, it has been too long since I have heard from AP. But, she called me last night and told me about something she saw over the weekend. I personally hate this kind of thing, and I do want you to know that AP had a long talk with this woman and told her to call anytime day or night.
AP was working out, and she noticed this really attractive woman who was working out and crying at the same time. Not crying because it hurt or anything, but real tears. So, AP asked if there was anything wrong. Well, it turns out that the woman is dating a married former A list television actor. When I say A list, I mean he was A+ list. Aging. Not too old. Very famous relationships. Not doing much now. Well this actor is an a-hole but this woman is in love with him and he has her convinced that he is going to leave his wife, and yada, yada, yada. Now, this guy used to be really good looking, but now, not so much. Anyway, each morning he has the woman weigh herself and send him a video of her weighing herself. She has to send him photos everyday of how she looks and what she is wearing. If she doesn't weigh what she is supposed to or doesn't look acceptable he yells at her and screams at her and basically treats her like crap.
When AP spoke with her, the woman actually used words and phrases like "he doesn't like it" and "he demands perfection." AP just knows the guy and knows he yells and screams a lot so is assuming he berates her just like he has berated everyone he has ever been with. The ting is, he only sees this woman once or twice a week, but he still demands perfection everyday. Plus, she has to let him know exactly where she is going and with whom and she just does it all without question. The morning in question that AP saw her, the woman was two pounds over her ideal weight and so was trying desperately to work it off because our actor had threatened to not see her that night unless she did, and there were plenty of other women he could be seeing if she could not do it. The thing is, he has this woman so messed up in the head that she barely knows herself anymore. AP was almost crying when she shared this, and AP never cries. Ever.

A relative used to be a nanny for Don Johnson and his wife many years ago, when he was just moving into irrelevancy. She said they were awful people and terrible parents.
And to think all those years he had a partner named Tubbs....smh
Poor Melanie, so glad she got away from him finally.
I'm trying to muster a little sympathy for this woman but truly I can't. Here's what I would have told her:
He doesn't love YOU
He's NOT going to leave his wife for you
He'd cheat on you like he's doing now if he did
He can't make you famous (see Dourtney)
Have a doughnut and find a single guy before you get hurt more

I would have said "Find another damn boyfriend. Also some self-esteem while you're at it." Why do women put up with this shit voluntarily?
yes, why wld yu put up with this? But no one ever accused Johnson of being a nice guy, ever. Well know dick. And his demand for perfection reminds me of the Jack Nicholson character in Carnal Knowledge.
Stupid woman. Since there doesn't appear to be any real gossip more relevant than 2008 which was about SIX YEARS AGO let's hope the woman wised up and moved on.

I had a beautiful friend, whose now husband made her get on a scale ever day with him present, he also weight himself but he claimed he was also concerned if she lost too much weight, she had a chronic illness. I said to her when she told me this, any man that demanded that would get the scale bashed over his head and bye bye. She had just gotten out of a relationship with a guy who also was hypercritical even though half the guys in this town were drooling after her. I believe that is part of the reason it brought on the chronic illness. She almost died from it.
These men must feel so genuinely inadequate deep down inside that they need to chronically bully people to feel better about themselves.
What with all his groping of women in bars and such, I had no idea he was married. Funny, because I had such a crush on him waaaaay back in the day when he was Judson Fletcher in John Jakes' "The Rebels." (Pre-Miami Vice.)
Don sure knows how to find these low self-esteem women. I guess that is the only way he can feel good about himself. Shame.
My good friend in Italy runs a high end tour company. She had the misfortune of showing Don Johnson and his wife around the country for several days. She said that he was falling down drunk the entire time...day and night, and was verbally abusive to his wife and anyone else in his path. He also got grabby with her when his wife went to the restroom. Disgusting man.
Wow! I have a new found respect for Melanie Griffith. She must have been through hell and back before she met Antonio Banderas who loves her just the way she she is. Too many disgusting men out there...

Hmmm....This is around the exact same time that he was dating a stripper in san francisco. she was very, very VERY thin and she said he liked her that way. He was also doing huge amounts of coke with her and "sharing" her with Sean Penn.
Don Johnson is far from broke and his wife comes from a wealthy family, he's never leaving her.
That is despicable. He's a waste of space.
After watching many of my friends stay in relationships like this, I have concluded that some people like being treated badly. Doesn't excuse Don's bad behavior though. I don't get it at all. Anyone made me weigh in daily, well, they'd never try that again.

It's not a self esteem issue. It's not about wanting abuse. It's a bonding issue. Predators will bond with someone, usually through love bombing, soon after starting the abuse.
Some have the will to pull away. Others will have a Stockhilm syndrome type reaction.
It's a common practice of predators. That's why we all know someone this happened to. That's why when parents breed for dollars it's upsetting. Just an example of how people get bonding issues and can't get away.
I have always said that there are worse things that could happen in a relationship than cheating (normal, not Tiger Woods amount of rutting)... And THIS is one of them. What a fucking knob!

Don Johnson is a butthole!
I'm a native San Franciscan and have heard nothing good about Don Johnson, especially when he was filming Nash Bridges. Back then he was messing with his underage costar; the one who played his daughter.
He's current wife maybe loaded, but they didn't pay their bills in Vale, CO. He filed for bankruptcy back in 2004. I don't think his rich wife's parents are bankrolling him anymore, which is why he's started to work again.
A friend of mine used to clean house for DJ when he was married to Melanie. The only notable thing she said about them is that they chain smoked. She also got clothes from Melanie which she gave to her niece, who couldn't fit into them - and she was a tweener. Melanie is tiny.
I met DJ when I was 12. Let's just say none of this surprises me. The man oozes skeeze. If it's true about the girl who played his daughter it doesn't surprise me either. It almost felt like he was hitting on me. Mind you I didn't look 12 but I didn't look legal either.
I lived in SF during the DJ era. He was pretty sloppy in bars and actually had a lawsuit filed against for groping a woman in a bar, which settled out of court.
His wife is a Phleger, of Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison, a prominent law firm that went out of biz a few years ago. I believe she was the grand daughter of the named principal.
Her interesting pedigree is she was formerly engaged to Gavin Newsom who is now the Lt. Governor of CA. He is the best friend of Billy Getty and was also married to Fox news host Kimberly Guilfoyle (sp?) (BTW, Kim G always claims that she was a former Vicky Secret model, but she wasn't. She merely modeled Vicky Secret naughty togs in a cheezey bridal magazine.)
I've had a couple of drinks and felt the need to unload the few, paltry pieces of gossip I have in my rapidly degenerating brain.

Oh man, I had the biggest crush in him back in the Miami Vice days. My at the time husband resembled him and I bought him the Miami Vice clothes too. What can I say, it was the 80's. It's too bad he's such a shithead. I wonder how Barbra Streisand put up with his crap?

@Henriette - thanks for that - I was going to post that I recalled him being in the news some years back for having to sell one of his mansions (Aspen, I think?) due to financial issues ... there was talk at the same time of him being sued left, right and centre for not baying his bills.

I am chuckling at myself too .. that is what I get for drinking a beer while on this site ..what I meant was I am not surprised this was revealed to be him from what I know via his behaviour while in San Francisco during filming of Nash Bridges. . my stories do nothing but confirm that he is mean, crude, and nasty sans alcohol and have been told via first hand accounts that he is the meanest drunk many people have ever encountered. Also can verify others accounts posted by commentators on CDAN about his 'interest' in young girls. .I would love to dish one of my stories but don't want to get in trouble ...
