Joe And Teresa Giudice Sentencing Hearing Postponed Again

After being continued once because of the death of the father of Joe Guidice, federal prosecutors have agreed to postpone the sentencing of Joe and Teresa Giudice yet again. This time the postponement is not as long. Instead of being on September 23, the new date will be October 2nd. Teresa faces a maximum of 27 months in jail, but as I told you earlier, has made a deal with prosecutors and will serve no time. Joe on the other hand will probably get the maximum of 47 months, which under guidelines means he would be eligible for release at about the 40 month mark, maybe slightly less. He still has that state case of driving using his brother's license so when he gets out of federal prison if he is allowed to remain in the country he will be doing some other jail time too. There has been talk that Teresa is going to file for divorce from Joe prior to the time Joe actually goes to jail, but I think she will wait until he is safely locked behind bars before doing that.

Unknown said...: It drives me crazy when Enty posts this like it's news or, like they are getting special treatment. I do federal criminal law and can tell you that it is VERY common for a sentencing to be continued due to the defendant cooperating against other defendants, a pre-sentence report not being ready or, a multitude of other reasons. Not to be an enty conspiracy theorist but, most attorneys would recognize this is par for the course in fed crim cases.; 6:29 AM

All Lace no Leather said...: I'm not defending Teresa, because I believe both of them did wrong and deserve punishment, however Teresa has talked about how Joe is the only man she has ever been with. I think she was raised old school Italian. If so, she probably went into the marriage thinking he was always right and would be her protector. I'm sure the thought of divorcing him, raising the kids on her own and supporting a family of 5, is an overwhelming feeling.; 7:37 AM

Of course I only know what I see on tv but if he's the only man she's been with, she lets him cheat and they do love the girls more than anything I would pick her as the exact type of woman to wait for her guy in prison. Unknown said...: Divorcing him will be a risky move, they borrowed about $11 million they haven't paid back from "Family". If she thinks she's sticking Joe with the bill, she's horribly delusional. Expect a fatal accident if that happens. It's a pretty crazy story from many angles, I can't believe she gets a walk when she was the architect of the operation.; 10:36 AM
