Which, frankly, surprises me.
She can't act her way out of a bag and Evan Peters has been a mainstay on the show...
Based on what I've seen on FB and Twitter, fans aren't happy about the decision. Emma is extremely unlikeable and plays the same character in every role she takes on.
@Cinnamon-- I'd agree. I've been watching AHS since the beginning and the ONLY character of Emma Roberts that I liked was in Coven, which obviously gave us the "Surprise, bitch" meme.
That being said, she's irritating and shrill in all her other roles. I thought that Evan Peters had shown quite a bit of range, although I maintain his best character was the first one (Tate in Murder House).
I agree LooksLikeCRicci. Evan (who can act, unlike Emma) and Jessica Lange carry the show each season.
Evan is on "Pose" so it's really no big deal that he is off AHS. I think Murphy kept Roberts b/c he didn't want to anger Aunt Julia.

Ugh she is insufferable and annoying. Also, they will get back together and she will beg to have him back on AHS.
She just seems the ultimate in using nepotism to get work.
Emma is one-dimensional, and borderline haggy to boot. Evan is a good actor and really pretty versatile for TV. Murphy chose wrong
Now Evan Peters and Taissa Farmiga can finally get together like fate and AHS always intended. 💖

This pisses me off. Terrible decision on Ryans Part. Evan was terrific in all of the AHS.
Maybe she's a procurer on the side or something, don't see Evan picking up guys for the boss.
Emma Roberts is a lame actress and Peter Evans was a complete charismatic chameleon. then again Ryan Murphy is a high tier sell out.
Good pt about appeasing aunt Julia. I can’t see any other reason for Emma Roberts to be chosen over Evan Peters. He’s super talented. Unless she’s blowing the show runner.

Not happy about this. I like Evan Peters, Emma is a spoiled unlikable brat who's only big because of who her aunt is. She also beat on Evan so many times. Screw you, Ryan Murphy.
This really pisses me off. Evan has been on that show longer. That brat Emma is crazy. My cousin was a makeup artist on a season. She beat the crap out of him. She needs professional help. She brings nothing to the show. Horrible actress and person.

I'm surprised by this blind. I always had the impression Ryan Murphy adored Evan. He's a brilliant actor (and hugely underrated) and a lot of AHS fans tune in for him. They don't tune in for one note Emma who is a lousy actress. Although she plays the spoiled brat convincingly..
Given the info regarding her abuse of Evan Peters, I'm amazed she's still getting work/hasn't been 'cancelled' yet.
Should have kept Evan and gotten rid of Emma. She's toxic and a shitty actress.

Nice to see we all agree Ryan made the wrong choice in this... Evan carried that show along with Sarah Paulson when we doubted it could last without Jessica Lange or Angela Bassett...Emma is clearly a powder head & I'm suprised that he put up with her crazy shit for so long he couldve had anybody smh... I'm not sure I even want to watch even tho they're taking it back to 1 of my fav genres 80 s cheesy serial killer next season..
