It's Fun For The Whole Family
So, when Ryan O'Neal and his son Redmond were arrested today for drug possession, it probably brought a tear to all the dads out there who were wondering how they could find a way to spend such quality time with their own kids. It takes a special kind of dad to get booked with your kid. Both father and son were arrested for drug possession when the cops came in to check on Redmond who is on probation. Well, Redmond allegedly had some drugs on him, and then when the cops went into Ryan's room they allegedly found some meth there.
As much drugs as this family has done you would hope they would just produce it themselves in the backyard or something. Can you even take a guess at how much money the entire O'Neal clan has spent on drugs and drug rehab? It is probably in the millions. But hey, what are a few million really when you can share the back of a police car with your son?

If he doesn't produce it himself, I sure hope they put in for a family discount somewhere.
What an f'd up bunch. I just hope Ryan doesn't try the "dog died" excuse.

I once had a pot plant spontaneously grow next to one of my other plants. Apparently the spores from the previous tenants were traveling around the house. It was a very pretty emerald green but sadly it died after a few months. :'(

I have this really weird cousin--she was/maybe still is a heroin addict. Anyway, when I was about 12 she gave me a handful of pot seeds, & I asked my mother if we could grow them. Being the nature lover that she is, she said sure. Anyway--the plant grew to be about 6 feet tall in a pot, & then vanished. To this day I blame our paper boy.

Don't forget about the older son that killed Frances Ford Coppola's son when he was steering a boat on drugs. Nice family.

It takes a special sort of family to have every member arrested multiple times for a wide variety of drug and assault charges, not to mention manslaughter (Giancarlo Coppola killed, as referenced above). "Bad genetics" doesn't begin to cover it;
I saw "Love Story" the other night (awful!) O'Neal and Ali McGraw both looked great. Ali currently looks pretty good for a woman in her 60s; Ryan O'Neal looks horrific. Very sad all around.

This is why I don't envy the "rich and the famous."
when i was younger, i remember a story about a little old lady getting arrested for having a rather prodigious little pot garden out by her front porch.
it turned out, at the time, that the seeds had come from the bird seed spilled from the hanging cage on said porch.
now, i don't know if this is an urban legend or not (as you know, i don't trust snopes completely), and i was about 12, as i remember. i do remember bird seed being reformulated.
i ALSO remember moving to georgia at 13 and besides the kudzu and poison ivy growing wild in the woods, there was a great deal of weed. oh, if i hadn't been such a prude!!
Oh, Bunny, some things never change. I'm happy to report that, despite the drought, our pot crops have not suffered. Georgia is still quite full of marijuana . . . and the kudzu and poison ivy.

All of his kids (Tatum, Grffin & Redmond) including Daddy Ryan could probably get a family discount rate at some rehab facility, tout it as a reality show and jump start their careers. Sad situation.
