WTF? Kate Had A Clothing Line?

Thankfully the stories about Jon & Kate have slowed down to the point where they are very close to disappearing off the radar. They won't disappear completely even if the show never airs again. I just know Jon is going to get in trouble or have several sex tapes or get some 18 year old pregnant. Barring that though they are slowly fading away. I guess I didn't realize the magnitude of how many people love Kate. I know most of us here dislike her or at least the comments seem to indicate that. But the comments and what is reality seem to be miles apart.

I mean there was the popularity of the show and her book and speaking engagements and that ugly hairstyle, and then there was a clothing line? Really? I guess there was because today I read her clothing line was being put on hold for right now. Apparently she had some kind of deal with Healthtex. I don't know who they are. If they don't make big and tall or have the name Zubaz on the label than I am fairly ignorant.

Apparently Kate was selling some of the line and promoting it just a month ago and was on Rachael Ray talking about it. Some of the items can still be found at your local Walmart, but any new designs are on hold.

When I think of Kate, fashion designer is not the first words that pop into my head. Again, it must for some people because companies don't usually go shelling out big bucks unless they are fairly confident about their market. Anyone who gave money to Hills actors excluded because they showed no common sense at all.

She didn't have a line of wigs did she?

Healthtex used to be a good brand of children's clothing. It's awhile since I bought any of that, though, so they may have expanded or something. Children's clothing seems appropriate for someone with so many kids, though.

Healthtex is still a brand of children's clothing. I think their popularity waned over the years with places like Gymboree and Gap Kids taking the spotlight. But I agree - makes sense to have someone with so many kids design a line for them. Attaching any "celebrities" name to a product usually boosts it's popularity and name recognition.

She looks like she has a large, fat hedgehog napping on her bob.

That clothing line is most likely her cutting off the labels of all the GAP clothing she gets for free, and making her child army relabel it.

But of course she'd have a clothing line. JLO had a clothing line, and JLO only has 1 set of twins. Lazy bitch.

Must be nice to have money to burn for such purposes.

i'm thinking more a peacock on acid.
she really has that done on purpose?

That they let her design anything after looking at that haircut, leads me to think they were really stupid or drunk when they thought that was a good idea.

Healthtex is owned by Vanity Fair, which is headquartered in Reading, PA. The family lives in ex-urban Reading, so it's sort of a local connection.

You wouldn't believe who has a clothing line these days. I bought a pair of shorts at Ross for $7.99 and when I got home I saw the label was Ashley, by Ashley Judd.

I didn't know anyone bought Healthtex anymore. The fabric is a weird polyester blend and they use nylon thread which is scratchy. Maybe Kate had an upscale version.

Off topic - You will LOL hard when you read what those 2 fuckwits that E! banned have been up to:
http://www.usmagazine.com/news/spencer-pratt-911-was-an-inside-job-200917

I'm i the only one that has always unwittingly read Speidi as Spendi? I think it's because i used to only see them in photo ops showing off their designer wears (that magically turned to trash when they got close to the mighty duo).

As for Kate - why would ANYONE want to dress/take fashion advice from her? She is just a plain soccer mom turned hollywood (in her mind) diva. I've seen more style from senile OAPs.

Ah children's clothing... Not any better, but at least the kids will have an excuse for looking like shit. Just blame the 'rents.

Jeezus, I really hope not.

stiffkittens, wow, they really get more desperate to stay in the spotlight all the time, don't they? That crap she was spewing about birth control makes me sick to my stomach. Especially because it sounds like they are intending to reproduce. GAH!

If she did, she should have given one to John. I think he would have welcomed one.

Don't get upset, Enty - it was just a typo. She really had a clothesline.
