More Public Drug Use From Whitney Houston - Plus She Is Admitted To A Hospital

In Touch is reporting this week that on a recent visit to The Beverly Wilshire Hotel with her ex husband Bobby Brown, Whitney walked into the bar and said, "I want a f***in' drink!" Whitney then pulled out a bag of coke and started snorting right there at the table. No worries about who would see or any consequences. Meanwhile Whitney has been admitted to a Paris hospital for what her reps say is an upper respiratory infection. I can see how you might get one of those from a crack pipe. They don't seem very healthy for your lungs now do they?

Whitney is postponing shows through next Tuesday. She is supposed to restart her European tour in Birmingham England on that date. Uh huh. I really do hope she gets better and finally kicks the coke. I want the old Whitney back.

Wasn't she interviewed not so long again with Opa saying that she was now clean?

So much for being clean.

She's still hanging out with her ex-husband? I thought they were estranged.

Now this is crap! Why is it that no one has an actual picture of Whit doing coke if she's so blase about doing it in public? Wouldn't one be worth six figures at the least?!

p.s. in that same InTouch article, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston have hooked up repeatedly.

She looks pretty healthy in that picture.

I hope she gets her mental and physical health back in shape.

While I wouldn't doubt she's back on crack (Ha!) I don't believe In Touch is telling the truth this time.

Does this mean that blind it about her? The one where someone took out a crack pipe and started smoking it at a recent concert?

@RM - yes. See the Whitney post from yesterday.

Ah, Whitney. Regardless of the details of this one, I think it's safe to assume the old Whitney is done for.

she lied about being clean? OH NO!!!! does this mean drug addicts LIE??

i don't think whitney was ever really clean. like lindsay, i think she drank, which made the trip back to crackville a short one. you're either clean or you're not. she wasn't.

I also don't think that Whitney was really clean. When she was on Oprah she made one of those tell tale comments where she was really vague about whether she was an addict and also said she would still party and drink on occasion. That sounds to me like a person who is in denial and is still not done using.

But, I do doubt the veracity of this In Touch story since the other story this week (Brad & Jen) is so ridiculous.

She was so exquisitely beautiful. And such a real talent. Very sad.

Not surprised considering she was never fully ready to make a recovery. You can't force an addict to get better, the end result is they slip right back into old habits. I hope she can eventually get better, but the chances of her ever having her voice back are done.
I also think this article is crap, she may still be using, but I highly doubt she would be so blatantly obvious with it.

Wonder if she is lip syncing at concerts?

When I went through my time of cleaning up, I did a lot of reading about drugs, and one statistic that rung true for me was: cocaine users will continue to use until the money runs out. Almost all cokeheads in recovery and rehab are there because of the financial consequences of their addiction -- family members end up paying their bills and get sick of watching the money get siphoned into use. In my life, I stopped using when everything had come to a stop, and when I moved in with relatives, I had no money whatsoever and no ability to make money (I was a wreck and couldn't get a job for a while, it's a fucked up story, but it's why I hate drugs so much now).

Anyway, Whitney never is truly unable to get a few thousand dollars for drugs. Her spending was out of hand when she was married and using, but she still had a flow of cash all the time, and she still does. I don't think the "spiritual" switch has been switched on in her head -- she's still bossy, narcissitic, egotistical and self-centered, at least in the interviews I saw last year.

An addict with no real reason to quit will never quit. I gave up on Whitney long ago because I cannot believe that she ever will have a real reason. She's surrounded by employees and she has a decent income from investments and royalties. She can never really bottom out.

Sadly, the old Whitney is never coming back.

If I had been the bartender or server there, I'd have called the po po on her crackie ass! I'm surprised no one did.

Okay I was wrong. I'll give 'er the crackpipe blind.

@Barton Fink - you are absolutely correct. Too many people benefit off of her still, even with her voice in its current terrible state.

Sadly, I also think the old Whitney is gone forever. I think she will have to run through her money and get out of show business in order to get clean. She has a God-given talent but has been conflicted about making a living with it for many years.

I heard whispers right after she showed up at Clive Davis's party supposedly working on her comeback album and looking good, that the reason the album was taking so long was that she was still not clean.

It's really sad, but she seems to have taken on full time addict as her occupation.

She was really twitchy and weird on that Oprah interview. No different than the "crack is whack" interview, she just wore better clothes.

All these people are attempting comebacks way before they are ready. Look at Whitney. Look at Britney. Look at Blohan. Everyone needs to go the fuck away for a few years and let everyone forget about them. Go to rehab, go to therapy, do the work. Take your time. If you have real talent, you can come back anytime, when you are good and ready.

Could this be gangrene of the lungs? I knew someone who died of that after using drugs for over a decade of her young 26 years. Very sad.

She's done. HOw sad.
