Last year at some pint I wrote about how some studio executive was probably playing boardgames with his kid some weekend and decided that Battleship would be a great movie. I still think it is a bad idea, but it does have its stars lined up. Alexander Skarsgard and Rihanna.

Yep, sounds like a thriller. Now, if it were nude Battleship, then you might be talking about something.

Rihanna? Really? I'm one of the few left that seem to really dig Rihanna, but to put such an unknown acting talent into a movie with other, proven stars seems weird. Unless she's going to be like a Grace Jones character from the Bond movie?

When is casting for "Chutes & Ladders" starting? Have they found a new lead actress for "Trouble" now that Lindsay is in jail? Have they lined up a director for "Monopoly" are they all monopolized? "Scrabble" might need some re-writes (or re-tiles).

When Enty wrote, "Last year at some pint..." I didn't know if he meant that or not, but it was funny, in a "beer o'clock" kind of way. The unintentional funnies are the best, and often the most revealing.

All I have to say is the people in Hollywood must be on some of the best drugs ever. The only problem is--the rest of us aren't. One day they will equate the dip in movie profits to the whole lot of really really bad movies they have been making.

Hell, I'd rather see Light Bright turned into a movie.
But watch Patty be right and this thing turn out to be the hit of the year. I do remember everyone thinking that this movie based on ride would bomb (Pirates of the Caribbean)
