Something Smells Fishy

Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake (who was honored by all the SNL writers in a funny way last night), released an explanation about their nude photo hacking scandal thing. Unfortunately it just does not ring true. Oh sure, their press release was funny and Kneepads will swallow it all whole because that is what they do. The rest of us who live in the real world will know why it is flawed in a second. What the release was going for is that all the events between Mila and Justin should be kept separate. Basically any shots you may have heard about Justin are not true and any of Mila are not recent and not from her phone but an e-mail account which is inactive and has not been used for 3 years.

OK, how many of you have e-mail accounts you use for spam or that you set up once and never used it again. Do you remember the account name and password? Try and log in. You might be able to log in and you might get the i.d back but there is not going to be anything in that e-mail. That stuff is long gone. So how, were things in an e-mail account that had not been used in three years? How did Mila remember that is where the photos came from? I think they are trying to spin a story because it would look like they were cheating on other people if the phone thing is true. If it is an e-mail account from three years ago, then Mila was in a monogamous relationship, and it turns into a sweet and loving thing.

"We would like to confirm that the photo addressed in the media of Ms. Kunis was in fact not from any phone but from an inactive email account that has not existed in three years. In regards to the other photos in question, they were never exchanged between the two parties. In closing, Mr. Timberlake would like us to make it clear that while he might write songs about putting things in boxes, he never has and definitely doesn't make a habit of taking any photos of them and sending them," the statement continues. Ms. Kunis would like us to add that while she is a fan of the song, she does not have nor has ever had photos of any male parts in her possession."

I have email accounts that are more than three years old, I check them every now and then (once a year or so, often less than that), and they're still going strong. They have emails stored from 5 or 6 years ago, I promise you.

Not that I necessarily believe their story, but it is possible that the photos were not put out there by her, but by someone who at some point had access to her account, or to the photo.

Is this even a story? The only time I hear about this is on here.

I still have my original AOL account from 1995. That stuff does not go away if you leave it online. The only thing that is automatically deleted is spam. Once you move an email into a saved folder, it's saved forever as long as you stay within your storage limits.

What is this story about anyway? It's the first I've heard of it.

that's not entirely true. if you still log into your account the stuff doens't go away, but some email servers ahve a thing where if you don't log into it for a certain amount of time it is purged. that happened to me with an old yahoo account. i wanted to get into it to get some old school documents and eventhough as this said i could get my old id back, i had to reset my password and once i was in there was just nothing there. no sent, no inboxed stuff, nothing.

so the missing piece here really is whether she kept logging in or not. if she logged in, then yea this is bs and everything would still be there. but if she hadn't touched it at all in over 3 years its possible, depending on the mail client that things would have been purged.

This is just all non-gay PR

I also have multiple e-mail accounts, some dormant for a long time, yet nothing has been purged.

When people start making excuses and offering up (lame) explanations, it's usually because they do have something to hide.

No matter how old my accounts get, I never lose anything on them... Don't know what kind of email account you have to have anything deleted automatically. Still have pictures and letters from my first hotmail from 1998. My hand actually trembled typing 1998. That's a loong time ago.

so weird. its no big deal but its definitely happened to me and it happened to my husband once too. his hotmail account logged in fine after several years but nothing was there. he contacted them like wtf and they just said it was inactive for too log so it was deactivated. his login reactivated it, but everything was gone. i wish i could get my old stuff back. there was stuff in there i wanted.

I've gone months without checking junk e-mails I've set up and they're still active. They used to get deleted within 3-6 months, but I don't think that's the case anymore.

Most companies that host email accounts have an expiration date now as to not feed into the spam (if you get hacked) and just plain old recycling.

I had my original email hacked and the person tried to blackmail me into paying money for it, but i didn't go for it cuz i had it backed up through outlook express (i use windows live mail now which is good) so didn't lose much as far as emails; so after a while i did retrieve and reactivated it and yes all my info and contacts were gone.

So unless she had an email program occasionally check her email to keep it active and not expire but never paid mind to it, sure that explanation can fly

Otherwise if the meta data on the photos are still intact you can see WHEN they were taken, and by WHAT EQUIPMENT and all that other juicy info and you can poke a HUGE hole that you will need multiple dicks to put in that explanation box...

This is all spin anyway. Probably for poor Biel's benefit ;)

I felt like Enty was kind of alluding to possible naked pics of Mila in the Random Photos the other day and then low and behold....

I have no idea whether I believe them or not yet, but I enjoyed their statement.

I've had to deal with Timberlake's publicist before.

Dreadful screeching harpie of a woman who sprays more bullshit every time she opens her mouth than an entire fleet of John Deere much spreaders.
