Zac Efron Overdosed In January

Zac Efron spent his New Year's Eve doing what a lot of people do and that's partying. The only problem is he didn't stop and kept right on partying until January 3rd when he finally overdosed on a combination of hillbilly heroin, booze, pot and Adderall.

In an article this week, The Enquirer says that Zac was so desperate for the drug that he invited regular people to the party provided that they bring as their admission charge a pill or two of hillbilly heroin. Can you imagine if he would have been busted? There were about forty people at the party and he solicited drugs from each of them so that is forty counts and then there are forty counts of conspiracy and the list goes on and on. He would be looking at years and years of jail.

The Enquirer has a photo of him passed out that was taken by the same person who is their source. I guess thatno photos ban kind of goes away if the person enforcing it has passed out.

Isnt he in rehab? Dint see the point of exposing this now. Sad tho, very addicted behavior. Hooe he doing well.

Harry Knuckles said...

Maybe, but maybe a pretty good chance this is BS ... just PR to show the little pretty boy is all grown up now.

This makes me sad for him. I hope he can pull it together.

Y'all can flame me all you want, but the instant I heard Zac claim he was very addicted to cocaine, I remembered how not so long ago, he tried to danger-up his image by dropping that condom (a Magnum, natch)on the red carpet.

I am saying I think these stories are all exaggerated. God knows the kid needs attention/ career.

Please credit your source (Radar).

Kid is obviously trying to numb himself to the things he did as a teen to become famous.

Every week now a new story comes out about him. I don't buy it.

Henriette said...

I'm now tire of him. I don't care what drugs he takes.

Beetlejuice said...

He can still get it.

The Enquirer is a reliable source, guys. So is Radar. Ask Jax.

Don't knock the National Enquirer. They exposed John Edwards.

What the hell is hillbilly heroin? Oxy?

FSP said...

Hillbilly heroin is the Enties new favorite words.

I was just going to say FSP...
Apparently Jax has one of those 'word of the day' calendars and she hasn't flipped the page.

FSP said...

Similar to her Your Turn calendar!

I don't understand how this could help his career. If he is a known addict, wouldn't that make him harder to insure? Or at least studios would think twice about hiring him if he can't get his personal life together?

If he wants a tougher image, leak some d**k pics. Don't pick up a drug habit.

Beetlejuice said...

Yeah its OxyContin

Aunt Liddy this is my problem with you. This story is sad and you hope he gets better but a 18 year old smoking weed is a waste of life?

If it's heroin or coke your sad and always wish them well but that weed is the worst thing ever huh?

Kristin, all he has to do is 'go to rehab', then he gets all those sweet, sweet REDEMPTION JOBS!

Drug testing would be done for insurance purposes since he's 'admitted' this, that will be a non-issue, b/c he'll be clean. Perhaps he'll appear to slip here n there, as needed for new publicity. You mark my words.

It's just like the Aniston pregnancy cycle. Eschewing Spanx + strategic handbag placement leads to 12 vehement PREGNANCY tabloid covers, which leads to denial after denial of said pregnancy, which leads to bikini pic-stories to 'prove' she's not PG, magically leads to new movie publicity, and leads to another story of 'Jen's heartbreak of infertility.' Repeat when she makes a new movie.

Isn't the term "hillbilly heroin" a bit 2006?

auntliddy said...

Bring, when a person smokes grass and zones out for hours, that isnt an addiction. Its a CHOICE. Addicts have no choice, they cant choose whether or not to shoot up, they HAVE to. Thats the difference.

What did January Jones do when Efron ODed in her? That sounds so awkward.

I remember hearing that Zac Efron had hooked up with Demi Moore and it it sounded like such a strange pairing at the time (at least to me) - now it makes a little more sense if it was centered around partying.

Harry Knuckles said...

Libby, it's so refreshing to see someone that "gets it". Hollywood is smoke and mirrors on a Zen level.

@V - great minds thinking alike...very passe term.

For being an "attorney" that was the dumbest scenario ever.. Yes, all 40 people would incriminate themselves to the cops? Ridiculous!

RowdyRodimus said...

Why did they have to revive him?

BringingUglyBack said...

They had the CHOICE to try it in the first place. You don't become addicted to it without trying it which most of the time is by CHOICE.

I'll stop smoking and start snorting and shooting and drinking and then you'll feel sad?

Doesn't make sense to me. I lost a parent to drug use, addiction runs deep in my family I am actually scared to try other drugs because of this. Yet I'm a waste of life because I CHOOSE weed over any other drug.

Great logic. By the way I drink a 12 pk beer in a month and I don't drink soda or coffee. Don't smoke cigarettes or chew either. I just like to smoke weed.

Who knows maybe I'm addicted to weed?

DixieTheNoble82 said...

@auntliddy - You are right. Smoking "grass" isn't an addiction. It's an awesome (IMO) fucking alternative to using addictive drugs. To say addicts don't have a choice, however, is crazy ignorant. If you are human, you have the ability to make choices. What some addicts CHOOSE to do is continue their hard drug use due to the effects of the drugs on their body. It may seem like an absolute need but that doesn't mean their ability to choose is gone.

Smh.

nurysp said...

not buying it
he doin it for the pub

auntliddy said...

I dont think addicts have a choice. Thats why they are addicts. To purposely choose to spend 4 or 4 hours a day high gazing at navel does seem like s waste of life. Take a walk, read write a letter-to me, ANYTHING is better than laying about in a stupor.

DixieTheNoble82 said...

Everybody has the ability to choose regardless of circumstances.

The fact that you seem to genuinely believe pot smoking always leads to mindless staring and all things unproductive indicates you have no actual knowledge of weed or it's usage.

Please stop pointing your uninformed finger.

DixieTheNoble82 said...

And P.S. - Choosing to spend "4 or 4 hours a day high gazing at navel" (wtf??) may be lazy but it's way more awesome and less dangerous than other actual drug induced activities.

Count Jerkula said...

Liddy is a kook. Don't waste your time arguing with her about pot.

Liddy, during your "hippie" days, what drugs did you do?

Oh dixie, i have loads of experience smoking weed as a hippie in the 60's, but I got bored with it. You never heard expression," gazing at your navel?" Pretty well known. Meant to type 4 or 5 hours. The flaw in your argument is the belief its either smoke weed or do heavy drugs. I dont see why one HAS to make that choice. I dont smoke or drink booze. Idk, perhaps for some people its a lifesaver. I never looked at it that way. Perhaps you have broadened my mind, but still hard for to accept someone purposefully chooses to zone out for hours is benign.

Seahorse said...

@Dixie Navel gazing is a term used to discribe spending too much time thinking too deeply about ones self.

DixieTheNoble82 said...

@auntliddy - No, I'd never heard that expression before but thank you to you and @Seahorse for clearing that one up.

I'm not arguing that one has to choose between pot and heavy drugs. My argument is that naval gazing pot smokers aren't typically worse off than heavy drug users, as you seem to frequently suggest they are.

My other argument is addicts have just as much choice as anyone else. Their choices may be more difficult but they still have a choice.

Interesting to hear you used to be quite the hippie, I bet deep & philosophical weed induced conversations with you are very entertaining. ;)

DixieTheNoble82 said...

*navel gazing. haha, whoops!

Cassiopeia said...

I never zone out or navel gaze when I smoke weed, and I spend far more than 4 or 4 hours a day quite high. I clean, I read books, play with my kid, go to lunch with friends, do yoga...and with a huge old grin on my face.

Weed is way different than it was 40 years ago.

auntliddy said...

Im a kook? Compliment or dis? In my heyday, i smoked weed, dropped acid, hash, amphetamines, ludes, mesc-really, being young and devil may care, anything offered. Once we got SEALED cigarette packs with marijuana in them fron 'nam. Dyno!! Had loads of fun and great conversations, lol. But as I grew older, i got bored with it sll-by older i mean 22, lol.

auntliddy said...

But even then i wld never touch coke or heroin.

The phrase, "Hillbilly Heroin," AKA, Opiates, is not just out of date, and from 2008, its past prime from 2003. It's also wrong and slightly offensive to Southerners. When the drug Oxycontin was released, lots of young 'uns snorted it, and died, as it is a time release drug. Media makes a big deal, in 2001, calls it HH. You know what's really HH? Heroin. Cheaper to get, easier to get, and bigger high.
