Phaedra Parks On Ellen Today

Phaedra Parks is on Ellen today and I think Ellen was hoping for more than she got from the RH-ATL star. Phaedra spun some story about how she just got her fifth college degree while breastfeeding her two kids until three months ago and working full-time at her law practice and shooting Real Housewives so had no idea that Appolo was doing anything wrong until he told her he had been arrested. Later this month Phaedra has to sit for a deposition and answer some of the same questions she answered on Ellen. The only difference is she will be under oath. She had to know. Her husband had no job and suddenly was flush with cash to the tune of millions of dollars and she didn't notice or ask where it came from? She told Ellen she is really smart, but she sure didn't act like it if she didn't see what he was doing.

And I kind of believe that she might not have known about it all (I'm sure she knew he was up to something shady but maybe not the full extent). I have a feeling that Appollo didn't share the money with her as much as we think. I have a feeling he was using it away from her at strip clubs, other women, etc.; 8:12 AM

NomNom83 said...: I understand that this lawsuit is between Phaedra & some other lady and I understand that a deposition is not the same thing as testifying in court and I understand a judge has ordered her to sit again for this b/c of dodgy answers the first time but...

- Can Phaedra plead the fifth?

- Can they charge her with contempt for not answering?

- Can she be compelled to answer questions for a deposition, the answers of which could be used against Apollo?

I'm just wondering how much she *has* to answer considering the legal precedents for "right to remain silent" or plead the fifth and that no one can be made to testify against a spouse.; 9:38 AM

It's funny that when the show first started I thought she was the smartest of the bunch. I don't know what happened, I stopped watching when NeNe blew up.; 9:57 AM
