Your Turn

For the last Friday in January, go ahead and plug what you want to plug. Have a book? Website? YouTube channel? A charity you love? Now is your chance.

I'll plug RPDR AS3 and Bendelacreme for sending Morgan home because she was too dumb to keep her weak strategy secret. And I wouldn't mind plugging boy Chi Chi, if you know what I mean (as long as those crusty flats are gone)

"Author, May I?" by Aden Lowe

Behind the scenes fictionalized account of the antics in the Indie Book World.

I lived some of it and having seen first hand what people do in that small pond for fame (of a sort) and money, it is very easy for me to believe what Enty posts about.

Thank you Ente. That's so kind.

We make unique jewelry. They are made of upcycled vintage and real gemstones. Our work is guaranteed. We are just starting a website. I have many more pieces, so if you want to see them all, just reach out. I will be glad to work with you.

The site is so much better via laptop than phone, but both work.

Legitimate plug:

Brooklyn - Feb 3rd, Sunnyvale, 1031 Grand St, Double Headliner, Odiseas and Dr. Danny. It will be an amazing show and if you're in the area I recommend stopping by

Girls Like Us - it’s a book about the sex trafficking industry and it’s hard to read but I felt like I owed it to them to know their stories. GEMS is the organization founded by a female who got out of the life. There is a link on their website to the Amazon wishlist. Seems fitting for the time.

BTW, Odiseas Georgiadis is a rising actor as well as singer. He's already had minor parts on big shows (The Post, Gotham, The Slap) and caught Lenny Kravitz eye while walking down the street and ended up in his New York City video (just a quick passing shot).

I definitely would plug him as someone to watch out for this year. In addition to being very talented, he's also one of the good guys. I need to mention him know, because he's not going to be in any of enty's blinds for misconduct.

Thank you, sir. I am a musician and author that needs some support. I lost my most recent job and am only working a couple days a week. I play in a rock band called My Version Of It, I wrote a book of short stories called "Journal-ism" - the graphic designer called it "a literary crossword puzzle" and this week I gave away 200 copies of my vinyl seven inch record to anyone that wanted one. I also do solo folk music and digital music. My Web site is www.jaredmorris.com, my rock group is www.myversionofit.com

Two occult Hollywood novels by talent that genuinely knows how to WRITE:

"Night Film" by Marisha Pessl.

"Flicker" by Theodore Roszak.

Some truths hidden in fiction in both these excellent books, I think. And, even if not, they're both great reads.

First time commentor, but I've been binge reading blinds for the past week or so. holy shit my mind is fucked, but what can you do, the world is fucked. I have a book called When It Rains about a girl who is tricked into a human trafficking ring. It's kind a bit of a brutal read, but if you have the time and $5 you can buy it for your kindle on amazon @ https://www.amazon.com/When-Rains-Dominique-Smiley-ebook/dp/B07622CSM6/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1516992350&sr=8-5&keywords=when+it+rains Thanks!

If anyone has ever considered fostering children and Foster/adopt please look into it! There are thousands of children, in each state alone, who are looking for a family to love them. Single or married, LGBTQ, anyone can do it!

I legally adopted my son from Foster care on December 7th after 22 months in my home. Best thing I've ever done.
God bless you Enty, thank you

I love weed, because I am in chronic pain and have chronic migraine- almost every day. And I'm deathly allergic to opiates, nothing else works. Vote for safe access to legal cannabis. It helps so many people who struggle with pain and other disease.

DO something nice for your local police. In order of Detective Doty here in Fort Mill, SC who was senselessly killed last week. My school chipped in and bought our police department dinner in his honor and they were so surprised. It's nice for people who risk their lives daily to know there are people who care.

if I controlled the academy awards, Get Out would win everything. everything.

It was one of the most original, zeitgeisty films I've seen. I was, and still am, shook by it. The idea is just....it's so profound and original and unique and powerful and terrifying but terrifyingly REAL and well, I think its better than any f'ing thing nominated.

Originality is so rare these days. Get Out might be the most original, startling premise I've ever come across.

beebopcowboy said...

and watch the documentary (without dialogue, just music and footage from around the world) for a quite a visual trip. puff a joint or drugfree-ly eat popcorn...its unreal. the visuals are....well I thought I wouldnt like a movie with no narrative/fiction and no dialogue but, damn....so cool. if you end up liking Samsara, Baraka is a movie by the same filmmaker(s) but I preferred Samsara.

the documentary Zero Days is eye opening and harrowing.

I'll use the opportunity to bring attention on issues that are important to me for many, also personal reasons. If You can, support homelessness charity, charity that gives young people who weren't as lucky, or had drug problems, a chance to have good life and future. The difference it makes, is unbelievable.

Other than that animal rescue, because I can't stand when helpless animals are getting abused by people.

Thanks Enty for giving a platform for that.

She's so Fine, Book 1 in the Samantha Block series.
A compelling suspense thriller novel that tells the story of
Samantha Block: wife, mother, avenging angel.
When she sees something, she does something.

This weekend you can get it on Kindle for free at Amazon.com.

Thanks, Enty. We are a grassroots publisher,
and are very proud of this very fine novel -
we can use all of the publicity we can get!

And thank you for the work you are doing.
Like many here on CDAN, our author was feeling helpless;
unable to do something about all of the abuse and the pain,
the evil in the world.

So she created a character who can, and who does.

She’s so Fine

I would like to plug my tribe: https://www.scienceandnonduality.com

Because if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have the guts to go out there and create my own superhero (with superpowers that many "oh-so-scientific" comics companies would never, because they're not open-minded enough) and talk about her on my "Doctor Strange" fanblog. It takes a lot of courage to talk about a character with superpowers some people won't touch (I'm afraid I'll be made fun of/get hate like Nancy Reagan on the cover of TIME magazine) in a universe full of "science bros". 🗽👩🏻🚕🍂💛

Running thay fanblog also helped me cope with my post-play sadness. Maybe I should make my new alterego my Chinese New Year thing. Hm.

Anyway, on a less navel-gazing plug: If you plan on donating to refugees, don't forget to slip some sanitary napkins in there (not being on a high-horse here, just reminded others because I forgot to last time and now I want to kick myself for it).

Scandi Sanskrit said...
