This misspelled flowering financial institution of a singer/rapper is spinning a yarn about her latest album. The truth is no one will give her any money to make it and she has no money of her own. She is basically living off donations from fans and the occasional appearance. She is super talented but turns record companies and investors off so quickly because she gets so many people so angry.

And yes, she's extremely talented and I truly wish she would keep her stupid ass mouth closed because I want to see her career flourish. ReplyDeleteFor people asking how she is still famous? Actually listen to her music. And not just 212. If you know this genre, you will know that someone woth this talent should be A list by now. She has serious live chops too, if you're lucky enough to catch her on a good day. But she's extremely mentally unwell, inconsistent, tweets problematic shit, and burns bridges left right and centre. I have no doubt if she were male, her behaviour would be tolerated far more. Look at xxx. He was a fucking monster and his career was going from strength to strength. With a fraction of AB's talent.

ReplyDeleteWith Thonker here. She acts like a little high school bully so of course nobody wants to deal with her. She may be talented but she isn't professional and companies don't want to lose money because of negative press.
ReplyDeleteShe is a very sad case. It's well known that she has the skills, and sometimes she says something smart, but she just can't get out of her own damn way. There are plenty of celebs out there that are total messes, but they must have people looking out for them. I don't think she does.

At least you know what you get, compared to the number of "chances" that other people have been afforded that everyone here knows they shouldn't have been. Most of the blood on her hands is from chickens.

ReplyDeleteSharper Teeth hit the nail on the head. She doesn't seem to have anyone to ground her. Or if she did have a good support system at one point, they've given up on her. I think that's the difference between her situation and other celebs trainwrecks who still manage to have their careers progress.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understand, Azealia grew up in an abusive household (She grew up in the East Harlem Projects). Her mother is schizophrenic and attacked her and her sisters growing up after her dad died. She moved out to go live with her older sister and has hustled ever since.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with everyone that she is very talented, but I also think her music hasn't really evolved and that's partially because she's not receptive to criticism.
