This A list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner/nominee and taking flack for her last movie is trying to make sure this former A list mostly television actor turned movie/commercial/television/no underwear wearing actor doesn't get the lead opposite her because she thinks the movie will bomb. I heard such good things about "Annihilation," so I watched it. It was ridiculous. Another movie with 100 pound women lugging around huge heavy weaponry and playing action hero. I don't think Natalie Portman is a bad actress, but I do think she has limited range and almost zero gravitas.
Well, Padme would know from bad movies. She'd better make as much money as she can while she has her looks.
Natalie Hershlag has a career because of Luc Besson making a movie about grooming.
I see nothing charismatic about her which makes for a good action hero.

I think they're both bad actors. They'd be tailor made for each other. The movie would be so bad it might be good.
I've heard great things about Annihilation and if it's as out there as the book then I need to watch it.
But Baby Driver definitely didn't tank... and I think in a weird way they would work as costars.
I love Closer and Black Swan, but she cannot act for shit in Closer. They should have had an all British cast.

What? Tax commercials aren't good enough for Portman? I want to know about her age thing, so is she lying about her age and how is she doing it?
Hamm needs to do comedy or noir. Portman is not a great actress but not as bad as people are saying. I do not think either is lead quality.
Bad luck?? Natalie is worried about bad luck? She sold herself as high-brow intellectual, a grand ambassador of bringing microfinancial empowerment to developing countries and so forth.

This stuff about Hamm isn’t kosher, Bady Driver and Bridesmaids were huge hits and Keeping up with Joneses was fun.

The stuff they changed for the movie didn't make any sense and made the movie confusing for me. NP's character didn't cheat on her husband in the book, but for some reason they felt the need to have her cheating, rather than a dedicated wife searching for her real husband, not the alien construct that returned from his mission. Odd out of place change.
