Blind Item #6

This racist former A- list mostly television actor/comic got a second chance on life because of the impassioned defense of someone close to him. This time there is no saving him and the victim he bullied before is threatening a lawsuit.

F*cking Kramer, that racist rant came out of nowhere back in the day. Should have immediately paid JJ to rehab his image, too late now.

Swinfa said...

It’s Cross... he posted a pic of himself wearing nothing but temple undergarments before a show in SLC two days ago... what an asshole.

Didn't Brad Garrett of Everybody Loves Raymond also have a racist comedy club outburst?

I thought he was still doing TV and working so I took it down.

His wife Amber Tamblyn defended him when he made the racist Asian remarks so it could be him.

@Swinfa

mocking a religion is not racist.

Amber Tamblyn always make me think of tambourine.

Swinfa said...

Very true, Plot... but he is a asshole with a proven track record of making racist remarks. The recent mocking just shows what a jackass he is.

Don't think this is Michael Richards, who I have a weird but possibly relevant story about.

I once got on a New York subway and Michael Richards was riding in the car. This was about a year after the racial epithet event.

RIchards was sitting alone at the end of the train. At another stop a bunch of young black female schoolchildren in matching uniforms got on. Maybe 10 years old or so and they had a white nun with them. They were joyous and danced around, swinging around on the poles. One of them sat down next to Richards and chatted him up. I was mid-way down the car and couldn't hear what they said.

I got off before he or the kids did. It was all so strange. I wondered if it was a PR setup it seemed so orchestrated, except there weren't a lot of people on the subway.

As I recall Amber Tamblyn did not defend him, but rather came out in support of his accuser.

It’s obviously not Richards, nobody’s going to be threatening a lawsuit over being called the “N word” 15 years ago.

David Cross is Hebrew. So that would just be self deprecation. Stop getting outraged because a comedian takes a swing and misses. The outrage has gone too far. Understand that you can't control people and that by getting upset over a joke you take away from the real issues that deserve outrage.

Well she sort of straddled the line between defending her husband and not wanting to victim blame.

They weren't temple garments. They were under garments traditionally worn by Mormons. Right before his scheduled appearance at a mormon university.

@No Wuckin' Furries, actually it's Wayland Flowers and Madame (and not Farrah Abraham, the puppet is smarter).

If we can't laugh about magic underwear what can we laugh at?

Samuel Jackson again. What a racist motherfucker!

Not Michael Richards, he is actually a nice guy who was and still is quite shaken by his brain snap, his conversation with Seinfeld on 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' about it is both sweet and sad, I came out of it seeing him as a genuinely good person.

Bill Beard said...

@Plot - "mocking a religion is not racist." - Agree and that goes for Judaism and Islam too.

Paul Saint John said...

I bet Seinfeld is more of a racist than Richards and a POS too. Richards seems like a regular guy, a rare thing in the entertainment world.

plot said...

@Bill

Yep. I've had many an argument with members of both those religions on that point.

"a pic of himself wearing nothing but temple undergarments"

WHO GIVES A FUCK - HOW IS THAT NOT FUNNY?!?!!?

That's classic 12-yr old boy humor. How is this racist? It isn't. People need to buy more ointment for their butthurts.
