It seems like Taylor isn't gay but that she uses the LGBTetc thing as a promotional tool. If she was actually gay, people would be apt to unconditionally support her even if her music was bad. I think Joe Alwyn is gay and it seems like everyone knows that which makes it seem like Taylor is gay and Joe is a beard but again i think it is part of her plan to support the LGBT+ community for popularity. I think Melissa Etheridge has been out and pretty successful most of her career. "Come to My Window" is a lovely song, imo, no matter who is singing it to whom. I have no way to answer whether she would have had more or less success if she hadnt been out, but I think she is a fair example an open artist.
She's publicly a human mannequin. Maybe there's a real person there, but you'd have to be related to her to know for sure. Most likely, she's just really boring.
