The Governor And The Prostitute

The NY Times is reporting that the Governor of NY, Eliot Spitzer, is involved in a prostitution ring. Now, I am not going to sit here and say, hey, I've never done something stupid or that it might be possible that wife number 6 may have earned her living as an escort before she married me. I won't get into the fact that Spitzer is married and has 3 kids. Hell, that doesn't stop 90% of guys. I wouldn't even say that he shouldn't be having an affair because he represents the people. Hell, the people he is representing are having affairs also.

What really pisses me off about this is that Gov. Spitzer is a big fat hypocrite when it comes to hookers. He was always jumping up and down when he would break up a ring of hookers and be front and center when announcing the results. He ran for office on the platform that he was a law an order guy. He had been the Attorney General for the state, and now I am wondering if he wasn't seeing an escort even like on the day when he busted a ring of them.

If he had run for office saying he loved hookers and drugs, then I am okay with him having hookers and drugs in the Governor's Mansion. He didn't though, he played the high and mighty and that is what sucked. It is just like gay Congressman and Senators who hide in the closet and at the same time act like homosexuals are demons. I have to admit that I kind of like Eliot Spitzer. I liked the fact that he was going after big companies and doing something about them. Now though I just wonder if he was taking money from them also or looking the other way while someone screwed somebody.

AP is reporting his resignation.

Gov. Spitzer, my governor, is a Democrat, by the way. A lot of news stories seem to leave that out.

Having said that, I feel for his family. I didn't vote for him, but I hope he doesn't resign.

He'll probably end up resigning. And that's fine. No matter his affiliation, he's just another jerk who objectifies women. His 'law & order' stance doesn't extend to everyone. Off with his head.

client 9 will resign.

Since I'm one o fthose kooky libertarians you hear about, I think anyone should do anything with their bodies they want to, including paying for sex. I agree with EL that it's the hypocrisy that maddens me. If you want to fuck hookers, please be my guest, but don't go on about how it shoudl be illegal to do so, you ass.

Carol, that's funny. If he was Republican, they probably would have reported it.

kristen - lol! had to read it twice. thought it read "kooky librarian".

I never like him. That funny shaped head, I don't know he just didn't look right. If this is the reason my state tax refund is being held up, I'm gonna be really pissed. Some of those ladies are $5500/hour. You can't really put that on the ole credit card.

How do they arrive at their client numbers? Why is he #9? Bank account? Height?

democrat or republican this is a very typical attitude for a misogynist.

persecute / prosecute sex trade workers and go home to your wife

then sneak out to exploit an oppressed woman at night

then go home and tell your daughter not to wear that slutty top

twis - if he was a Republican they would be connecting the story to McCain...and instead of Governor Spitzer they would address him as Republican Governor Spitzer(every time).

YahMoBThere said...

Yeah, that's true, too, Cap.

can you hear the media's sigh of relief as it shifts quickly back into character?

finally, some smut to repeat over and over (ALLEGEDLY, of course)

they've been pretending to care about issues while drowning them in conjecture and numbers for weeks now!

I think asswipes like this should resign. He's breaking the law and shouldn't be in the position he's in, enjoying all the perks that come with the job.

The Dow Jones Average will probably go up 100 points (at least) on the news of the indictment/resignation. Spitzer's holier than thou act was nauseating, but he bragged that he was "...an f***ing steamroller..." in how he attacked Wall Street.

Karmic retribution can be very pleasant to watch, especially when played out in public.

What a joker. Spitzer, you sanctimonious twit. Then again, Jerry Springer got caught doing the same thing, so who knows.

*applause*

I had an ex kinda like that. He lambasted me for past sexual misadventures, for "allowing" men to "use" me, then would turn right around and BE one of those guys he always warned me about.

One of the blind item sites (Panache Report) had several blinds about celebrities involved in prostitution rings. I'm hoping this is related to any of them.

Isn't this the idiot that wanted to give illegal aliens drivers licenses?

Helloooo? This isn't the first time a politician has been with a hooker. Or been a hypocrit or a loser. What about Rudy? He did some shit when was mayor and no one expected a resignation.

This guy won't resign. But he should get a trophy for being the politician who didn't pay his ho on time. That's like PoliSci 101.

Bravo, Reese. If the Dow rallies, does that mean that Spitzer's dick has single-handedly ended the recession?

Peregrine White said...

Doesn't his wife look like a slightly older -- and haggard -- Jennifer Anniston?

YahMoBThere said...

Yeah, Tracee, but personally, I get just as mad at all of them. They SHOULD resign. If they're heading up the state but can't follow the law, they have no business in that job.

Garden Keeper, I don't know but I wish they'd stop trotting their wives out every time they act like cheating dogs.

And I wish the wives would stop going.

It never ceases to amaze me that these people think they will get away with being a hypocrite. While I agree with the adage (paraphrased) "I wouldn't want anyone who would care to run for office, in office" the God complex is just beyond comprehension.

He honestly didn't think this would be found out?
Grats man, your lust just cost you your dignity and your entire family's respect. Good job.

And yeah I agree that if he were a Repub that wouldn't have been so casually omitted.

Rhianna said...

He's not a "family man". If he was, his dick would have stayed with this wife instead of a whore. That said, at least the whore got paid to f*cked over by him, not just the shame of her face and her kids in the paper.

Lock his ass up! Not for cheating, not for the whore, for lying to the public and being a hypocrite! This is why people don't trust politicians (nor should they) and why they don't trust cops (see Peterson for a better understanding). The wolves are guarding the sheep and the sheeple keep bleeting their approval .... Then they wonder why the get fleeced all the damn time.

YahMoBThere said...

Why are the Republicans the only ones to call for his impeachment if he doesn't resign? Shouldn't the Democrats be joining them???

dreadpiratecuervo said...

The front page of the NY Post today says "Ho No!" over a picture of the whoremonger & his wife. lol

YahMoBThere said...

LMAO @ dreadpiratecuervo.

Can you imagine what his wife must feel like? Geeze, there is NO WAY I'd stay with the dirtbag let alone prance out before the cameras with him.
