The Carrie Ann Inaba Of The UK - Don't You Know Who I Am Moment

Unless you live in the UK you probably don't know who Alesha Dixon is. I only know her because I read gossip all the time looking for juice for all of you. Alesha Dixon is a judge on Strictly Come Dancing which is the UK version of Dancing With The Stars.Well, even that wouldn't normally get me to post about her here, but when a "Don't you know who I am" moment is captured on film, you have to post it. It is kind of like an obligation. Like taxes or laughing when Paris Hilton says she has never taken drugs.

Here Alesha is told she is not on the list to get inside a club.
And here is Alesha with her "don't you know who I am?" moment. Love it. She was denied.

they knew who she was, she had a table booked for five people and showed up with ten - her entourage was just too big! someone needs better sources ;)

Eh, the point is still the same - she wanted special treatment and didn't get it. Woohoo for the doorman!!! (That's a bit of a 'Soup' joke for those who watch it.)

She is from a dysfunctional family and her head that is too small for her body. That is all.

The girl believes her own hype, that's what seems to have occurred. She was on the Children in Need telethon last week and seemed completely disinterested in anyone bar herself.

I live in the UK and Alesha Dixon is a real douchbag I hate her, she come across as being VERY arrogant.

Kartma is a real bitch alright!

Mooshki, if the doorman comment was about the NY area bridezilla, I saw the actual show. I never wanted to slap a bitch so badly in my life! While I'm pretty sure 90% of that show is staged, being in someone's wedding party does not give the bride the right to hurl abuse at you or the doorman, lol. If someone treated me that way, I'd punch them in the throat and walk out on everything. Truth. Team Doorman!

Yep, Lisa, that's the one I was talking about. Nothing like showing what a b*tch you are to a few million people.

I'm a longtime-lurker but commenting-virgin... please be gentle.

I used to work at MTV in London a couple of years ago (I'm not showing off, I was essentially a glorified serving wench) and round there Alesha had a good reputation for being down-to-earth and friendly. Oh a lot of people found her irritating because she wouldn't shut up and that laugh... oy! (it's real, I've experienced a blast of it without a camera in sight) but she was still harmless.
I'm not saying this story isn't true, her profile has grown a lot of late and her head may well have inflated slightly. But she's generally a nice person. I hate to see people jump on one bit of bad press and turn her into a monster.

Anyhoo, that's all... gonna go lurk s'more now.
