Two Homeless Guys Inherit Billions

Two Hungarian brothers have been living in a cave outside of Budapest. They have been living there because they have no money. Well that is all about to change. According to UPI, charity workers tracked down the brothers and a sister who lives in America. How much will the three split? About $7 billion. Yes that is a b as in damn they have a lot of money.

The brothers hope the money will improve their life and their love life.

"If this all works out it will certainly make up for the life we have had until now -- all we really had was each other -- no women would look at us living in a cave," said Geza. But with money, maybe we can find a partner and finally have a normal life. "

Umm, yeah, I don't know about normal, but I am guessing you can get better digs than a cave and with that kind of money, even if you were in a cave I think all kinds of people are going to find you attractive now.

Their mother (whose mother is the one who died) abandoned them.

I think these guys are old enough and have had enough real hardship to probably possess real wisdom about what's really important in life. I hope.

What was their parents claim to fame? Why were they worth 7 billion?

How long before this gets turned into a movie? Incredible story.

Nope, no gold-digging whore is going to take advantag of these guys, no way. /sarcasm

THIS IS ALMOST SCARY ....IN FACT IT IS SCARY

I wonder what kind of life the sister was living in America--we don't have that many caves here, & it doesn't say if she was also homeless, or not.

The 2nd picture the guy looks cute LOLOL.

It was Grandma's money. Why didn't she reach out to these people?

Daveb said...

Personally I'm cynical inasmuch as they don't release the name of the grandmother who left them the fortune. Seven billion is a world class fortune (Rockefellers are estimated at ten billion). I have a hard time believing that much money is invisible.

I want to know why they were abandon in the first place. What did they to serve that and why get all this money now?

Sporky said...

God, please don't let them become Ed Hardy-wearing, Hummer-driving douchebags. Thank you.

Daveb said...

Supposedly they knew their mother came from a wealthy family but that she was "difficult" and estranged from her family. Supposedly their maternal grandmother in Germany has now died and left them the money.

Sporky, sadly, those guys are probably doomed to become the equivalent: eurotrash.

Money ALWAY changes people, or they freak out from the responsibility and die in sad, wasteful ways, drugs, hos, etc.

i'm with dave. when you start talking billionaires, they aren't just faceless people. there's more to this story or else it's bullshit.

Lisa (original)- yeah...I know...but I'm still holding out hope.

I now have the image of the two "wild and crazy guys" on old Saturday Night Live in my head (remember, Steve Martin and Dan Ackroyd)?

I bet they can get some of Tiger's ex-mistresses now! They are probably flying over to Budapest even as we speak.

What kind of an asshole holds out on 'helping out' while their family lives in a f*cking cave? A narcissistic asshole, that's who.

I keep hoping that this will happen to me. So far, no luck. Oh well. *L*

wow, how great for them - their lives will now (hopefully) be blessed!

hmmmmmm the authorities are searching for their American sister? hmmmmmm - I adopted my 3rd child from Romania, she's of Hungarian gypsy descent. Could she be their long-lost... LOL again, how super for them!

Hmmm...what's the backstory on these guys? 'Cause I (and many of my friends) grew up with little to no money, and none of us has had to resort to living in caves. I waited tables for years while putting myself through school. Just saying...and let the attacks begin...

ea73, I'm assuming you live in North America.
In many countries, there is no steady work at all. A few odd jobs, but lots of competition.

Lutefisk, there are lots of caves near me, don't you have any? Actually, I bet my brother would live in a cave just for the hell of it. One year he built an igloo in my mom's back yard and spent the night in it. Weirdo. :)

I've always been frightened by light blue eyes, but top photo bro is so benevolent-looking, there's nothing scary! Almost ethereal. Nor in bro #2--nothing weird. Just nice-looking poor guys. good for them!

Also, these are really CLEAN looking cave-dwellers, aren't they? Must be some public facilities nearby...

These guys look like my brothers. We are Hungarian/Romanians and we all look really ethnic. I wonder if I am related to these two? Hello cousins!

selenakyle said...

Oh yeah--there are a shitload of caves all over the USA. Trust me--don't go inside any of them. Caves suck.

VERY TRUE!

No caves around me Mooshki. But didn't Fred & Barney live in caves? They ended up with Wilma & Betty.

god bless 'em.

Well, you'll have to come visit me and we can go spelunking together. Do you remember the difference between a stalagmite and a stalactite? :)

of course--I may not be a cave-dweller, but I know my cave lingo. A stalactite grows on the ceiling--I remember that from the "c".
I will be more than happy to go spelunking with you---as long as we had internet.
We once built an igloo during an ice storm and took photos of our chihuahua in it.

I would go "caving" (we weren't all fancy with our spelunking words) when I was younger. In TN there are lots of caves. In one I freaked out though because you had to slide on your belly through a about 2 foot gap. I got all the way in and then freaked the eff out because it felt like the cave was going to fall on top of me...and no hasty retreat was possible. UGH, I freaked myself out again just retelling that.

For Mooshki:
"Stalactites and stalagmites,
Only caves have got'em.
Tites are always on the top,
And mites are on the bottom."

Learned that from an episode of Berenstain Bears, LOL!

And thank you for spelling it spelunking... A certain lady friend of mine, of a certain age, educated, prides herself on telling everyone that she was a College English Professor... Always trying to correct everyone (you know the type...), and she always pronounces it SPERLUNKIN! Drives me bananas... LOL!

And, yeah, I'm gonna jump on the "Hey! There's my long lost Hungarian relative" train too... ;)

Wow!! I REALLY hope they keep their heads, it sounds like they're taking it slow. Good for them, Karma sure owed them. :)

Wow! This story is amazing! What a cool world we live in, you never really know what might happen next.
Stories like this keep hope alive :)

I remember reading/hearing years ago that cave-dwelling is not that unusual in Turkey. Caves can be spacious and nicely decorated. I wouldn't take it for granted that these guys are completely poor. But it's wonderful that they inherited all that money. I'm sure that they'll have no shortage of new "friends".
