Casey Affleck Sued For Sexual Harassment
On Friday, Casey Affleck was sued by Amanda White for about $2M. The nature of the suit is sexual harassment. Although Casey's attorney said the actor is going to countersue, IO have to say that this complaint is really detailed and, although not as graphic as the David Boreanaz lawsuit, does have some great juicy stuff. Like? Well how about Joaquin Phoenix and Casey Affleck using Amanda's hotel room for having sex with women who were not their wives. Then again, if Casey was having sex with his wife in the hotel room that would have been really awkward considering she is Joaquin's sister.
Amanda is not an extra. She is a producer who has worked on many movies. She was supposed to get paid $50K to work on the Joaquin Phoenix documentary. She never got paid, but she did get propositioned by Casey Affleck on an almost daily basis, could not sleep in her hotel room one night because of the aforementioned sex, witnessed a party with 35 hookers and transvestites. Umm, what else? Oh, she got her arm grabbed by Casey when he got made she would not sleep with him and angry text messages. Oh, Casey ordered a crew member to show his penis to Amanda even though she did not want to see it. I believe this woman. I believed the woman last week with David Boreanaz too. I bet Casey had a great weekend with his wife and kids huh?

I believe her too. It's too weirdly detailed, and what could he countersue on? Good luck with that.
And, may I say, I like Joaquin even less if he watched his brother in law Casey cheat on his sister with hookers, etc. Blech.

That said, it sucks to have this splashed across the papers.
This whole thing is crazy. I've been a big fan of Casey's acting, but if this is true, he's a royal asshole and a misogynist. Agree that this woman appears more credible than recent accusers have seemed (see: David Boreanz).
I choose not to believe this until I see proof. What producer would take a 50k job and NOT sign a contract??? From what I read it was a verbal contract? Who does that? Well, I guess I wouldn't...
Also, why out of all the people in their entourage, would they choose her room to take hookers into? They're not poor. I'm quite certain they could've gotten thier own rooms.. Seems fishy.
Why didn't she sue earlier? Why do all of these women wait for so long to make these "allegations"?
I've always hated this fucking douchebag.. I know he's not the model for Johnny Drama on Entourage (that distinction goes to Donnie Wahlberg), but I've always felt that Casey was a self-important, smug prick riding his brother's coattails.
I've been waiting to hear your opinion on this, ENTY. I believe her too. I've no idea why, I just get a "this is totally believable" vibe from it.
I lost all respect for Casey when he and Joaquin did that documentary or mockumentary or whatever.

Just read Lainey (know a lot of you don't like her; sorry) and she pointed out that this could be a stunt for the mockumentary....
Hehe Adventurous Kate, I was JUST reading the same thing on Lainey. So now I'm not sure. She has a point.
I lost ALL respect for Joaquin after this stupid mockumentary thing. Spinal Tap he is not.
I know many crew that were on the movie that shot in Oklahoma, the killer inside me, and I heard he wouldn't even intermingle with the women on the set. Someone who had to work closely with him, who is a woman, said that he was very modest and it took him time to warm up to her doing her job because it's one that you tend to be close to that person.
Sorry, I know that's vague, but I'm not trying to out my friend who had a prominent role (behind the scenes) in the film.
Anyway, from all accounts, the suit is the exact opposite from everything I heard about him working on the set.
He might be an Affleck, but I thought he was more serious than his idiot brother.

Bummer. It does ring true. He's my favorite Affleck - loved him in Jesse James and he is FANTASTIC in Killer Inside Me. Tapping into something, I suppose.

I also liked Casey and thought he was talented until I saw his interviews when he was nominated for an Oscar a few years ago. He was so arrogant. Now if I see him or hear about him I'm immediately turned off.
Based on what I've read about this case it SOUNDS like it could be true and for the sake of all the true victims out there I hope to hell this is true. God knows every lie that's told sets real victims of sexual harassment back another 50 years.

No!! I really like Casey but if it is true then too bad. I find more interesting that Casey married Joaquin sister, Summer.
