Will Arnett is super orange.
ReplyDeleteSofia's gown was amazing. Will Arnett looked like shit.
ReplyDeleteI adore Jessica Lange. Jennifer Westfield has had too much plastic surgery. It's hard to pay attention to her dress. I'm digging Leslie Mann's dress.
ReplyDeleteI'm struggling to not hate GOB. Will, put the tanning bed away.
ReplyDeleteSophia tends to wear the same style dress for every award show. And I really hate the trend of sheer dresses with short under layers. It is like the one arm dress---ok when it is done sparingly, and well.
ReplyDeleteAnd why is Will Arnet so hoarse all of a sudden?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until that hot betch Jessica Lange is back on my TV!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see Bryan Cranston, I flashback to Malcolm in the Middle, when he's roller skating to "Funky Town". Brilliant. I move like that whenever I want to embarrass my children.
ReplyDeleteVergara looks gorgeous! I agree with Audrey, not a fan of the long sheer / short under layer dresses.
ReplyDeleteMinor brag alert: A friend and I were able to attend opening night of the American Repertory Theater's production of All the Way, a play about LBJ's 1st year in office (running for election, trying to get the Civil Rights Act passed, etc.), with none other than Bryan Cranston starring as LBJ. (He's very good, as is the entire cast; Michael McKean is J. Edgar Hoover, and appropriately obsessive in the role.) We also went to the opening night reception, saw lots of people we suspect are famous but didn't recognize (although my friend did recognize Diane Paulus as she brushed by us), and were able to squeeze in to meet Bryan Cranston, shake his hand, and congratulate him on a job well done. (FWIW, he's younger-looking in person, and even handsomer to boot.) Anyway, I can now tell people that I've shaken motherf&$%*@! Walter White's hand... ;-) (One of the women I worked w/at a temp job last week insisted on shaking my hand so she could pass on the handshake to her husband, a big Breaking Bad fan. "Um, you do know I have washed my hands since last night, right?" I guess the mojo was strong enough to overcome soap and water, though, because she still wanted the handshake... ;-)
ReplyDeleteRobin : that is epically COOL!
DeleteI saw a recent interview where Bryan mentioned this play, I had a hard time imagining him in the part but I'm glad to hear it was good. It's so cool that you got to meet him and he was nice.
DeleteEeeek, Jessica's face is looking way overdone. I really hate it when beautiful women can't just relax and let themselves age gracefully. A little nip and tuck if you absolutely *have* to (and really, ladies, you don't), but then get the hell out of the surgeon's chair!
ReplyDeleteSophia Vergara is best dressed hands down. That reminds me, must set DVR for Fashion Police.
ReplyDeleteWill Arnett must be having his mid-life crisis.
Jane Fonda wore that dress better on The Newsroom. Sorry, Jessica Lange.
Why do gorgeous men muck up their face with a Mumford and Sons beard? Lose that shit, Jon Hamm.
Damian Lewis looks like shit. With his hair gone, you have to focus more on his face and it is not attractive.
ReplyDeleteLove that story @Robin! Bryan Cranston is fantastic. He's the real deal -- amazing actor & a complete gentleman.
I love Damian Lewis' wife Helen McCrory. She always plays a conniving bitch and she's really good at it. She's like a younger Judy Davis. She was Cheri Blair in The Queen.
ReplyDeleteSofia's dress looks nice from afar but I saw a close-up picture of it and I thought the fabric looked cheap. The straps look like they have not been hemmed.
ReplyDeleteJessica looks like she has hair all over the front of her dress.
Leslie's dress would be so beautiful if it didn't suddenly become sheer. That looks weird.
Merrit Wever looked fine but she how she looked is secondary after that amazing speech she gave IMO! She is great!
Jon Hamm looks like a waiter.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I see Cranston, I think of his "bacon" song from MITM. Dancing in his tighty whities. . .
Damian Lewis and Will Arnett both creep me out.
ReplyDeleteThe photographer who released the January Jones shot hopefully took his name off of it. That's bad lighting and bad form.
Jason Bateman!
@Susan - mumford beards, yes!
@lazyday603 Yes she's fantastic isn't she? She got a naughty face.
ReplyDeleteMerritt is favorite. I'm so glad she was recognized. No one could play her part in Nurse Jackie like she can!
ReplyDeleteLeslie and Jennifer's smiles are freaking me out. Stop it!
ReplyDeleteI get pockets are prob nice to have, but it looks so odd to me that these women all dressed up have their hands in them all the time.
Bateman's wife looks ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI give up. The dresses from the Emmy's are all so hideous. I can't take it.
ReplyDeleteSofia Vergara knows how to dress her body without looking like Jessica Rabbit.
ReplyDeleteJane Fonda wore the dress Jessica Lange wore to the Emmys on The Newsroom, and looked much better in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7i4zNm4KqYg
I love Jessica Lange, just think that wasn't the best dress for her.
Ugh the oh so smarmy Will Arnett. At first I thought Jon Hamm showed up with Jennifer Coolidge as his date lol
ReplyDeleteLoved Merritt Weaver's speech, but her dress looks like something you'd find in the "Mother of the Bride" section of Sears.
