I have no problem with this.
Recently flew to Europe in “cattle class” and my section of the plane arrived the same time as the swanky folks up front. Have a little dignity girl.
When are “upgrades” free?
My sister sometimes gets free upgrades from Business to First Class. One of those times was on a flight from London to LA and she was seated across from Sophia Loren. No scandalous behaviour to report though!
She can't afford to pay for her own upgrade? She has to negotiate until a rich businessmen takes pity on her?
I'd have a problem with it if I was the married businessman's spouse.
Other than child support she didn't take any money from Tammy. She has to be frugal or other people's credit cards.

If she didn't take more than child support, then I could see this. Business class, internationally, is ridiculously expensive. London to LAX business class is $10k on most airlines, if you don't have an upgrade, especially if you want a direct flight.

flights in business from London to NYC can be as low as $3,000 and to LA $5,000
First class for the same routes is about $12,000 and $15,000 respectively
I fly a lot, business for me, it's worth it, first class is just too expensive Imo. I was upgraded to First once due to a full business, and they had roast beef, which they carved paper-thinly in front of you, and texan steaks grilled to your liking, served with truffle mashed potatoes and wines that go for thousands of dollars per bottle in some restaurants. I enjoyed it very much, but am not stupid and.or rich enough to pay for that on a regular basis. Prefer to go to good restaurants and spend a fraction on the same.
That's the way it should be: the man gives the woman a credit card and/or a checking account.

Get it girl! First class affords you a much roomier ride and more comfort. It's not just about the food. If you can afford it, it's well worth it.
