Today's Blind Items - The Videos

This former A- list mostly television actor who all of you know has had some issues with the #MeToo movement. He has always been skeezy and I don't think anyone was shocked when women came forward with some stories about him or just his general a-hole behavior on almost every set he has worked on his adult life. He is one of those guys who likes acting for two reasons. Money and because he thinks it makes every woman want to have sex with him.

Because of the issues he had last year, he installed a state of the art video system in his home. Every room, including bathrooms, is wired for sound and video. Apparently he has a dozen installed in his bedroom alone. Every single angle in every corner of the house is covered. He does this, he says for proof if anyone ever accuses him of assault or harassment.

I'm not sure what he does when he leaves the house to protect himself, but the thing is, at home he says they are just for protection. A way for him to prove what happened. Umm, then why are you showing people the recordings? Do the women know you are showing them having sex? Why did you give the password to a few of your friends so they could watch live when you let them know a woman is coming over?

Jeremy Piven??

Another good reason for people to wear masks during sex.

Hunny Bunny said...

This smells like James Franco to me.

sandybrook said...

Either Piven or Charlie Sheen. More likely Piven

Cree said...

Isnt it illegal to record audio of people without their permission or is that just a state by state case?

And while having sex, guessing a case can be made for revenge porn?

Even if he's blackmailing people, seems like it could backfire hard.

If it is Piven, my question is who the hell is sleeping with that scumbag - unless he's "ordering in"?

J said...

And... drum roll... what did the police say?

Cree said...

I agree with MD about it being Piven.

Ed Westwyck .

Scott Baio just to be different lll

BestMan said...

While it may be illegal in court, it is still fodder for anonymous internet leaking. Whoever, hes a nasty little fucker.

Good for whomever this is. I feel so bad for straight men having to deal with melodramatic and hysterical women.

Sal Salington said...

California is two party consent, meaning both sides have to be are of and consent to the recording.

And of course, if you allow anyone to stream the video, no matter how good a friend they are, someone has their own copy.

Best of luck, whoever you are, you're gonna need it.

IrishEileen said...

I thought of Scott Baio too!

AwkwardTurtle said...

It sounds like Piven. He seems sketch. I don't think Charlie Sheen is that worried about protecting his image.

Jenn B. said...

I thought so too but I don't think Franco is mostly TV.

SteveD said...

General a-hole definitely brings Piven to mind. He couldn't be more perfectly cast than he was as Ari.

Amy said...

I don't understand how Piven gets work. He has a face and attitude that screams 'punch me.'

hothotheat said...

'His adult life' line makes me think this is someone who was acting prior to turning 18. How old was Franco when he did that TV show? Forget the name.

HeatherBee said...

I think it sounds like J was asking what did the police say, as in ,this is egregious enough that surely the victims have gone to the police. And thusly, what did the police say? Did they respond or are they covering it up until this celebrity passes away like they did with Jimmy Savile across the pond? Of course, I’m just assuming this is what he asked and I feel it’s a fair question. Maybe he’s not the arrogant assumptive prick here.

Sara, Making It Work said...

He asks it on every rape/ harassment/ molestation blind. As in "must not have happened if the police weren't called".

Count Jerkula said...

Cree, no. It is 100% legal to record in your home.

Count Jerkula said...

Sal, that is with phone calls, not home surveillance.

"'His adult life' line makes me think this is someone who was acting prior to turning 18."

Jeremy Piven's parents ran a theatre school, so it is very likely that he started acting well before his first film role at age 20.

Cree said...

"Freaks and geeks" ? He would have been around 22.

Brayson87 said...

I would think the distribution of recordings without consent would at least catch some charges.

Cree said...

Quote from this blind "he says for proof if anyone ever accuses him of assault or harassment" (emphasis on the "if")

There's no reason to believe any police officer knows of what the blind is alleging.

He's doing this as a result of something, it doesnt mention he did it for prior cases.

Cree said...

Thanks count. I thought there might be a difference of recording sound vs just audio.

Still the revenge porn and black mail might hurt him in the end (assuming someone's willing to try him on it)

Count Jerkula said...

If he lets people watch on his ipad pr smart tv, nothing will happen. If he posts thrm online or sends them to people, he can run into trouble.

Count Jerkula said...

Brayson: he is not distributing.

J said...

Viking Song, I asked a question. Your inference is characteristically weak.

However, if the police haven't been contacted, why not?

If my house were to be robbed, or if I saw someone like you acting over-interested in unattended children, I'd get the police involved. Even if I thought it wouldn't resolve the situation, I'd want an official record.

Jamie Foxx? Better safe than sorry and we've heard stories

Mary Lamb said...

@J Bullshit. @Sara, Making It Work has it right, as you well know. Why back down now? You are implying that the women haven't reported him and YOU'RE EXACTLY CORRECT! Do you want to know why? THEY DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE CAMERAS, dumbass.

ToobisTheZebra said...

Easily Jeremy Piven

Mary Lamb said...

Also, it isn't illegal, just really disgusting and that's what anyone who may have figured it out would be informed. Showing it, allowing others to view isn't illegal either. Making money off of it would constitute distribution but then again, that might only be cause for a civil action.

J said...

Hi mary lamb.

Where did I say anything about "the women" reporting to the police? Please cite me.

I asked whether the police were notified, but didn't say by whom. Assuming this blind item is factual, someone knows about this (I believe) illegal activity, and that/those person(s) have taken the information to a gossip site. Like all the other times. Did that/those person(s) go to the police? That's my question. Nothing at all about "the women."

Are you new to reading, mary lamb? That would be ironic, given that Charles Lamb's sister was named Mary and she was an accomplished writer.

Bill Beard said...

(((Jeremy Piven))).

AppleThief4Elliot said...

Duchovny. Oh, Muldur.

OKay said...

@J The police said "WE DON'T INVESTIGATE UNSUBSTANTIATED COMPLAINTS FROM THIRD PARTIES. COME BACK WITH SOME PROOF OR PISS OFF." Just like the police anywhere else would.

J said...

Link, please.

Liv said...

@Brayson, I love this comment so much.

Liv said...

+1 This is immediately who I suspected.

Mary Lamb said...

@J
You have bitched over and over about women crying 'me too' and how they're all whores who are looking for either attention or a payday. Give it up, for fucks sake.
Again, for those such as yourself with zero reading comprehension, it's not ILLEGAL to put cameras, video recorders with or without audio, in your own fucking home, thereby, nothing to report to the police.
That clear enough for ya, you nasty piece of shit?

J said...

Hi mary lamb!

I'm not a lawyer (more a bon vivant, I suppose), but I can do simple googling. Here's New York:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/daniellecitron/2014/05/15/nonconsensual-taping-of-sex-partners-is-a-crime/#650f247f6ce0

And this would seem to describe things in California:

https://www.avvo.com/legal-answers/is-it-legal-for-someone-to-video-tape-sexual-encou-110109.html

Now why don't you go play with a piece of string or whatever you're best suited for?

Scandi Sanskrit said...

But isn’t that the point, Amy? 🤷🏻‍♀️

You’d WANT Ari Gold to be punchable.

Shaddup Mimsey said...

Immediately thought Franco, but like the Masterson guess too.

Jon said...

WTF? Who hurt you? Why are you so nasty and calling names? So classless.

Mary Lamb said...

@J
Do you even know what a bon vivant is? No you don't and no you're not, but it's pretty funny.

Good to know that they've changed the law in NY, but as for your second site, the lawyer clearly states that you'd be hard pressed to get the DA to press charges. It's more of a civil matter. AND, I'm sure the same goes for NY. They can't be bothered with this shit.
In the precedent case, it was a landlord, in NY, who put a camera in a smoke alarm. That's what made the difference.

However, you still haven't addressed your inane assertion that 'no one went to the police'.
Do you really think he, whoever this blind is about (presumably Previn) told the women they were being videotaped? If so, you're a jackass.
A rhetorical question for the man who for some reason enjoys string yet ignores the pertinent questions. Hmmm, reminds me of someone around here....

J said...

Have another drink, mary lamb. And another.

Incoherent, slovenly, vulgar people like you are the best.

Mary Lamb said...

@J You're hilarious but also sad. You're actually sitting around with nothing to do other than wait for a response. Must've been a long day for you.
I'm still replying to my emails from which this account is registered and BAM, there you are.

PS. You still didn't respond to the question regarding the women not knowing anything about the cameras. Why? Because there isn't a logical one. Are you projecting with the drinking accusation? There is help out there, you only need ask.

Barnyard manners, frenzied hysterics, alogia, and likely substance-abuse problems. What a gal.

Enough for now, I await with disgust the next time you can't control yourself and, uninvited and unwanted, reach out to me.

AppleThief4Elliot said...

@alicecorrine +1 I like Aziz better for this than Duchovny, who had been my guess.

(Applause) and damn right.

When J makes foolish statements he goes into his pouting corner and complains about wimmez's bad manners.

Count Jerkula said...

I believe to get around the NY law, all you need is a small sign that says "This Property Is Under Video Surveillance".

Amy said...

Scandi It doesn't matter what character he plays-he is still punchworthy 😊
