Blind Item #3

When the person is the killer or at least who has known the killer and covered up for them for decades, it is a really bad idea to let them be the executive producer of a podcast to find the killer and track down leads in this case all of you know.

Definitely Jon Benet Ramsey. I just read about the new podcast about her death that her dad is involved with.

". Now, for the first time ever, JonBenét Ramsey's father and brother are armed with the original suspect list from Lou Smit, the late lead investigator on the case. Will they finally track down JonBenét's killer to solve one of the nation's most infamous crimes?"

I still think the brother did it. She ate his pineapple and he snapped.

The brother did it.

There was a theory long ago that didn't get much traction. Supposedly John Ramsey was on the "downlow" and frequented Denver adult movie houses (this was pre-internet so a lot of married men went to adult movie booths, some just went to watch, some to masturbate, some to have DL sex with other guys). Anyway, John got acquainted with some other DL guys and maybe hooked up outside the movie house. He could have just been talking about his kids, his wife, his job, his bonus from his job. He could have even told someone where he lived...just thinking it was no big deal, just making small talk with a sex buddy. So...the sex buddy talks to a friend who maybe talked to a friend or somehow the information got out into the pedo community of Denver.
I've just never believed it was the parents or the brother, but there has to be some kind of connection to the Ramseys, and a casual connection to John seems the most likely to me.

Are we supposed to care about podcasts now? Just mash letters into google, you're bound to find one.

The son did it not the dad.

No way the family was involved
The ransom note bought time for the killer(s)
to skip town.

Executive producer of a podcast?

lol

The ransom note was 'practiced' at the home on a legal pad. I think the mother tried to cover for the son. The son had abused his sister before by hitting her with a golf club.

the question has always been: who breaks into a house in the night, goes upstairs where everyone is sleeping, takes a child, and hangs out with her in the house, feeds her, writes a long rambling letter (which we know was written on paper from the house and with a pen in the house), while the adults sleep upstairs, then find some obscure room downstairs where they kill and hide the child's body?

that makes no sense. didn't then, doesn't now. if the police had properly secured the scene, this would have been a whole different ballgame.

Miss Demeanor said...

The brother did it? So, an 8 year old used a stun gun on her & tortured her with a garott? They found the DNA of an unidentified male in her underwear.

Before that night there is evidence of historical sexual abuse, brother also had a sociopathic tendancy (shitting in her bedroom etc.) They came back from party, bedtime snack was made, she took some of the brothers pineapple, he snapped, hit her with a torch. The parents covered it up by trying to make it look like both a ransom kidnapping AND a sexual predator. Police were incompetent and he was highly connected. Total shitshow all round and poor Jonbenet never saw justice.

Who does something like that? A pedophile that's who. They would do all that and 100 times more for a prize like JonBenet.

So who's DNA was it?

Buddytesla said...

The DNA was reportedly touch DNA and not fluids. Also, from what I understand, the method of testing was innovative at the time, but is now considered suspect. It’s been said that the sample may not represent any real individual at all, but actually a mixture of several people. If it did represent a real person, you’d expect that they would’ve found that person through familial DNA by now.

One of the more experienced investigators (not Boulder PD) believed it was an intruder who broke into the house while they were at the party, and waited in the basement, then used a stun gun on her to keep her quiet. The PD didn't even interview the neighbors who actually saw someone moving around in the house with a flashlight in the middle of the night, as if they didn't know their way around. There was foreign DNA on her clothes that belonged to a man who was never identified.

For years, the National Enquirer which PAYS paid the Ramseys, their lawyers, their hangers on $$$$ to run their perp list. 23 years of front page cover stories on OTHER "suspects" that never produced ONE useful tip.

Now that that the old owner is SINGING to the FEDS, the New Enquirer, wisely doesn't run their PERP list on the cover any more. So they come up with other SCHEMES.

Remember, John and Burke Ramsey have not cooperated with the police in WELL over a decade. This is all so much crap, not under the penalty of perjury, not subject to HARD QUESTIONS, such as a police interview would do.

Studio54 said...

@Gator: False. The BPD interviewed ALL the Ramseys neighbors. There has NEVER been a credible "intruder" suspect.

This is a celebrity blog, so you should know about the celebrity murder case in Boulder that the same DA, Alex Hunter, blew before the Ramsey case.

In 1983, Sid Wells, the boyfriend of ROBERT REDFORD's daughter Shawna, was murdered. A tenant in a condo Wells owned, Thayne Smika, who also supplied COCAINE to Wells and his friends was the No.1 suspect. The BPD wanted to arrest Smika early on, the gutless DA stalled, and Smika was finally arrested, and a grand jury was convened.

Alex Hunter actually told the grand jury to MAKE NO DECISON (i.e, do not vote for conviction). Hunter released Smika, who is the main suspect in the murder of Sid Wells TO THIS DAY. It took 28 years for DA Stan Garnett in Boulder to charge Thayne Smika with first degree murder in the murder of Sid Wells. Smika has been AWOL since Alex Hunter let him go, and has never been found to be arrested for the charges. He would be now in his early 60's and is believed to be alive. Another HORRIBLE travesty of Justice, just like the JonBenet Ramsey murder.

DNA Was from South Asia where the underwear were made. No wonder my mom said to wash all newly bought undergarments before wearing. Pretty gross

Sd Auntie said...

What is the mame of the blog?? @ Studio.

TheBPlot said...

I worked for a semi news show when this happened. The definite buzz was it was the son and the mom covered up for him. Remember the 118k bonus was soooooo specifically correct.

Studio54 said...

@SD Auntie: What "blog" do you mean?

Large Marge said...

NO ONE talks about their kids with a sex buddy. Sheesh

Statistics show that it is overwhelmingly often often a family member or close associate of the family. Stranger abduction? Very rare.
Brother had a history of sociopathic behavior and jealousy of the sister.
He had opportunity, motive and method.
The mother concocted some fake letter, to protect the son.
They are/were one very sick family, the photos of that poor child, coiffed and dressed like a woman, prove it.

No matter what suspect you have, you have to go back to the note. It was written and re-written on a pad from the house during the "kidnapping" and it was wayyy too long with too many personal details. I am convinced it was the brother and the parents covered for him.
