An Arrest

Back at the end of July I posted an item about a very popular singer from Lebanon named Suzanne Tamim who had been brutally murdered in her Dubai apartment. Well in the past few days the case has finally started to come together, and it is incredibly shocking.

One of the world's richest men has been arrested and charged with paying a hit man $2M to follow Tamim and then kill her. The man who was arrested for hiring the hit man is the equivalent of say, a US Senator here in America and was considered for a cabinet post in Egypt. Allegedly the man hired a policeman to be his hit man, and the police man followed Tamim from London to Dubai, bought a knife in Dubai and then stabbed her, and decapitated her in her apartment.

The policeman who allegedly served as a hit man was actually arrested about two days after the killing, but the information he provided was so spectacular that it took this long to check out everything he said.

I suppose when you are a billionaire many times over, $2M is nothing to pay for a hit, but maybe the married father of three should have been more concerned with his family and taking care of them, and not getting revenge on some poor woman who didn't want to have an affair with him anymore.

That is amazing that someone has been arrested. I am glad to hear it.
To continue with yesterday's train of thought--stay away from married men!

this story is huge. if this had happened in us/uk/western europe it would be the biggest story of the decade. no? is this not like mark cuban having kylie killed or equivalent? 2 million- and the guy delivered in horrific fashion.

"Tamim's body was found decapitated in her Dubai apartment in July."

Wow.

I can't believe they arrested him. I bet he can't either - he obviously thinks he can do whatever he wants. It's nice to know you can't always buy your way out of anything. (Just most things.) I know no one's life is worth more than any other, but when someone is loved by so many people, it does make it a bigger tragedy.

I hope the billionaire doesn't get away with murder.

And in related news, a member of the Pakistan Senate defended the burying alive of five young women as a tribal tradition.

So-called honor killings of women are still accepted in those uncivilized parts of the world. In their own words, it's traditional!

i hate men sometimes.
especially big bad rich assholes who were probably bad in bed and had tiny cocks. you know he was insecure she left him and it all lead to this shit.
do not fuck men who have small penises ladies, and this whole problem will be resolved.
(ha ha just kidding)
but not about him being a dick, that is true

Lots of countries involved here so I bet a good portion of the Middle East is following this story. Hope both those f*ckers fry. This woman was achingly beautiful. How horrible for her family.

This is such a sad story, when you read a little more about it - she was just tragic, and he was obsessed with her.

What's really troubling is the government in Egypt, and Mubarak.

This story shed some light on one of our biggest allies, for the time being, in the middle east, and it's not pretty at all.

We are peeking into one of the more corrupt regimes our country is propping up with aid all because of this ugly, ugly murder and those involved. Thank you for highlighting this story Enty.
