Kevin Jonas Gets Engaged

I was going to title this post Kevin Jonas wants sex, because to me it seems almost the same thing. If the purity rings are to be believed and I have my doubts, I am sure that Kevin would like to enjoy some intimate time with his girlfriend and now affianced. The only way he can do that is by getting married. That seems like a great reason to get married doesn't it? Yesterday morning Kevin Jonas showed up on the front step of his girlfriend's house and asked her to marry him. She said yes. They plan on getting married tomorrow. No, not really tomorrow, but I bet there is not going to be a year long engagement either.

Kevin, who is 21 is marrying an older woman of 22. According to Kevin's statement to the media, "She said yes, yes, yes like 500 times super fast in a row."

As someone who has been married frequently I think they are getting married at too young of an age. I know there are lots of success stories from people who have got married at a young age, but I do wonder if they are getting married for the right reasons. The Jonas family does seem happy though. The parents also released a statement which said, "Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage."

The things I will write about to find something to talk about other than Michael Jackson all the time.

Nowhere near on the level of a Jonaii getting engaged but Ent some gossip blog is claiming that your friend Jenna Fischer has been sporting an engagement ring.

Thank you for not talking about Michael Jackson. Some news outlets are going way overboard. He has a large family that were not all that close so the number of inside sources our crazy.

Yes there are some success stories but the odds of marrying that young (when your also a famous singer with lots of cash)- very slim. Went to a religious school that taught sex before marriage was a sin, so everyone was married very young and now there all either divorced or hate each other. Lots are now in there early thirties and want to do what they did not do in their twenties.

Yup, they're way too young. I know couples who've lasted for ages, but I still think these two are way too young. Bad idea.

Thanks for talking about something else than the MJ situation.

She looks a lot like Haylie Duff.

I have my doubts, too (rock star, groupies), but who knows ... maybe they'll still be married 50 years from now and laughing at the rest of us divorced and single suckas.

I thought it was Haylie Duff too *LOL*. I think 21 is too young, but you never know. Stranger things certainly have happened. I hope they will be very happy.

I am happy for them and wish them well. Get a good deal in the prenup, girl!

$100 bucks says that these two are divorced within 5 years, and that no gossip mag will report it because no one cares about the Jonas Bros anymore.

It must be love because she is FUGly.

Hold the phone! There are better reasons than sex to get married? Not believing that... sorry.

She does look like Haylie Duff, and that is not a compliment. He's no looker himself. Don't know what he sees in her (I'm sure she's a lovely girl with a great personality and a killer Joisey accent to match) but I think we know what she sees in him - $$ signs. Perhaps she can parlay this into a guest spot on Real Housewives of New Jersey.

My, I'm cynical today.

Who knows maybe they will break up before they set a date for marriage.

I hope for his sake its love for him and not love of his wallet that's getting her to the altar.

I'd also watch my back if I was her. All those obsessed little fan girls might take offense at her stealing him away and beat her with their Hello Kitty backpacks.

I'm sorry, but the way he talks and acts screams gay. Which would not be good for the image, you know. And I thought she looked like Hayley Duff as well. But he is the funniest of all the Jonases...

(Sorry - my daughter has them plastered all over her walls. I try to ignore them when I go in to pick up dirty towels.)

I saw a close-up of her, she has the same bad nose job as Hayley Duff--I also thought they looked very much alike.
You do have to give him a certain amount of credit for getting engaged.

It should be illegal to get married before the age of 30.

Is he sure he isn't gay?

Lol Steve!

He could still be gay, beards don't mean a thing (hear that Jake?)

Yeah, I'm with Kimi and Kat and others who say they're too young.

too funny...they are ridiculously too young. I got married later (at 26), and I still think it was too young! Plus, if it quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck...

Everyone I know who has said they won't have sex until marriage has ended up getting married VERY young, which I disagree with.

HOWEVER... none of them have yet gotten divorced. This may be due to the religious correlation. So... maybe I'm wrong, but... it still doesn't sit right with me to get married at 21. Add on top of that, that they are famous (well he is) and I think this marriage has about zero % chance.

But my negativity aside, good luck to them! Marriage is hard at any age so they're going to need it!

I second what Audrey said. I worked at a college and I always told my students to not get married until they were 30!
