Carre Otis Spills About Mickey Rourke
I always knew that Carre Otis/Mickey Rourke relationship was messed up, but in Carre's new book you can really see how messed up it was. In the book she talks about how Mickey once sent some guys to beat up gay photographer Steven Meisel because he had taken a photo of Carre's butt for Vanity Fair. Apparently Mickey thought only he should be able to see her naked. Umm, what was Wild Orchid about then? Maybe it is different if it is for money for Mickey.
There was the time Mickey proposed marriage to Carre. This one is really romantic. He got down on one knee and asked and when she hesitated, he went and got a sword from his car and threatened to kill himself unless she said yes. No pressure there Carre. She also discusses how she found a gun in her purse that belonged to Mickey which he had out there. She forgot it was in there, it discharged and almost hit her in the heart.
Instead of being worried about Carre, Mickey's only concern was making sure no one found out about it and while she is laying there in pain telling her she needed to cover this whole thing up. Nice guy.

Wasn't she strung out on heroin when they were together? I think I remember reading that?
Anyway, that was one crazy relationship.
i remember the big rumor was the sex scenes they filmed in Wild Orchid were real not simulated.
Happy she got her life together re-married, had a child and reinvented herself as a plus size model. Good for her!

Not really a fan of either one, that relationship actually scared me back in the day. They seemed so far out.
And Mickey is still a real "winner" even today...
The gun almost hit her in the heart? I'm assuming that means that the bullet did enter her body. If not, her statement is a gross exaggeration.
she also said Mickey Rourke saved her life because she was an heroin addict at this time with alcohol trouble and she tried several times to commit suicide
and yes,the sex scenes in WILD ORCHID weren't simulated
Yeah, the only thing I know about her is the rumor about the sex scenes in Wild Orchid, and how the crew was uncomfortable with it.
I find it more troubling that as a size 12 she's considered a plus sized model.
At least time was kinder to Carre than Mickey. Glad she pulled herself together and is still modeling.

I barely read any of this post Enty, all I could concentrate on, all I can ever concentrate on when I see pics of Mickey from back in the good ole 80's, are god DAMN was he a fine piece of ass!
It always a shock to be reminded of that.
So maybe he was playing himself in 9 1/2 weeks?
I worked at a hip Beverly Hills restaurant circa 1995-96 and they came there often, separate and together. He was a tool -- always came in just as we were closing late at night with a posse of a-holes, hanger-ons, loud and obnoxious. Maybe time has chilled him out. Carre is even more beautiful in person and was always very chill, low key, jeans, ponytail, a real sweetheart. Always thought they were an odd couple that didn't match. I'm glad she's been able to turn her life around and now has a family.
