I hope they give Terrence Mann a part in the musical. I like him and he needs a job since Sense8 is done.
Tom Cruise confirmed that production is now underway on the Top Gun sequel and now THR is reporting that they’ve narrowed it down to Nicholas Hoult, Glen Powell, and Miles Teller to play Goose’s son.
So then Glen Powell? I don't actually know who that is.
I miss Goose, when Goose died sh!t got real :(
@Carolyn, Glen Powell is hilarious, he can say the craziest lines with a straight face. He was great on Scream Queens Season 1.

A sequel, not a reboot? Someone's actually writing a new story, instead of remaking the original with more bathos and CGI? I'm skeptical.

I hated the original Top Gun with the heat of a thousand suns. They should've cut every single scene with dialog in it and just filmed an airshow.

No idea who Glen Powell is, so I go with him. Hoult and Teller are much better known in North America.
Just saw this...so I'm guessing there was a change because Miles Teller IMO isn't the least known. I also wouldn't have thought him the "drink the Kool-Aid type" - he seems more belligerent than that.
