That's all award shows. They make up an award to get a big star. And she even deserved it.
I've heard from multiple people that iheartradio/clear channel ruined broadcast radio in America. Sure digital media and apps hurt profits but iheartradio/clear channel is the reason it's only waiting room music now.
@Brayson87: I still remember the day when the alternative rock station I listened to in the 90's flipped to top 40 when Clear Channel bought it. I've had a burning hatred for them ever since. I turned on the radio expecting Nirvana and got the Backstreet Boys. *blech*
omg .. in Colorado there was this amazing radio station that was HUGE for 30+ years, KBPI (Rocks the Rockies) ... when clear channel bought them, they fired one of the best DJs ever (Uncle Nasty) and it went down hill.
they were at 106.7 .... NOW they were bought be iheartradio ... and they moved to some obscure 107.9 that you can never get in tune ... and basically they have just disappeared.
i never listen to radio now except the Comedy Channel once in a while. i stick to Pandora.

Tricia-- I thought the exact same thing....Again?!
I thought many of these shows-- People's Choice, Billboard, American Music Teen Choice &/or Nick awards all notified the winners ahead of time to guarantee stars in seats. Anytime you've got the artist sending a thank you via live feed, esp back in the day, you knew they werent sending camera crews "just in case"
The only award-worthy moment of hers was when she was alone sulking on that boat, having been given the heave-ho by the twink boy bander.
That was very nice.
Its been so nice having Taylor stay more out of the limelight recently. I absolutely can't stand her. One of the fakest "stars" out there!

I thought she was going to drop new material, i'm guessing this has more to do with a payola type deal that stoking her ego. You show up to promote us, we play your records 24/7 type thing.
I hate I ❤️ Radio. Their shitty ass stations only play the same tired ass songs over and over and over. It sucks so bad.
Taylor. She only showed up to this award show because Tom Hiddleston had the press night of his new play Betrayal the night before. She is doing it everytime when he is seen somewhere since they separated. Just watch she does it EVERY. TIME. She's still obsessed with him.
This reminds me of an ancient Monty Python sketch that spoofed The Oscars.

As a former clear channel employee, I can plus 1 that AmFM Broadcasting / Clear Channel / iheartradio is the worst
But agree on taylor and “best tour” for the award- so she can sell more seats for the next one
It's not even a blind cause it's been known she would be given an award several weeks prior.

@raven - I’m from Colorado (Denver Metro Area) too. I loved KBPI but I always listened to ALCE (and Jamie, Frosty and Frank before she ran off to LA with Danny Bonaduce). I’m glad we still have KTCL even though I don’t listen to the radio too much these days. I used to listen to Slacker and Steve every afternoon on the drive home. Maybe I should start listening to them again in the afternoons...
