Blind Item #5

The A list singer self medicates to the point of incapacity and then finally gets with a real doctor and follows their advice for a couple of weeks before repeating the cycle again. I told you before there would be several cancellations because of this.

Grande clearly has ptsd and lots of mental
Health issues stem from that. Something tells me touring isn’t exactly peaceful and meditative.

I should know, I just finished Daisy Jones and the Six. Which makes me highly qualified in band touring dynamics. 😉

She is gross.

I wish Ariana would disappear. What she lacks in size, she makes up for in an enormous ego.

Always the victim, always has an excuse. She needs a break from the public and therapy. when will her rock bottom will happen?

There's no denying she is extremely talented, and I do like some of her songs, but...it's so ironic she dumped Mac for his "drug problems" and now she's doing the same damn thing! I just hope she straightens out before she ends up like him!

Chillax, I'm just starting that audio book today. It's supposed to be narrated by a whole cast of characters- did you enjoy it? It seems like it might be a little fluffy but it's summer and time for fluff..

Daisy jones book, was good, had some complexity to it. Quick, not too dark; a fun read. I liked the narration and all the characters clearly labeled of their POV throughout the story. Enjoy!

She has PTSD for legitimate issues but is being worked to the bone by a rapacious machine, leave her be. I feel for her.

Chillax, YES! Library all the way! Unfortunately, my library system just switched to Axis 360 from Overdrive and Libby, so my ebook/audiobook app isn't as great as it used to be, but I refuse to pay. Thanks for the info about the book- I'm glad to hear that there is some substance in there. Take care :)

Agreed, she has ptsd and touring and performing is part of her triggers. Unless she gets some tools on how to handle her trauma she will continue to self medicate. We all know what side her management/handlers are on, if they have a cash cow they will milk it until it is dry and then get a new one.

I think she trots out the PTSD excuse when she's too tired from partying to perform. Not all the time, but a lot

I can't imagine Ariana passed through the web of child rape without being raped. So sad, if you don't put out you don't get on TV or the radio regardless of age. Unless of course you are related to industry folks

She probably got PTSD from the pictures of the amazingly insensitive muslim aid charity advertising at the venue the islamists suicide bombed kids at her concert.

PTSD?! Are you serious?!

This and That said...

She even stated recently that touring is not good enough for her mental health.

And now listen to the audiobook Tricia. Way better than the book itself.

Grande hope this young people get help

Self-medicating is a recipe for disaster...they need to give her the time to get real treatment and meds, if needed. Otherwise, she has the potential of being another accidental overdose in a random hotel room.

Has anyone seen Booksmart yet? Looks fun, and getting raves!

Just curious, how many of you were in a stadium that was bombed in which children were killed?

If you knew what she knew about the Manchester tragedy then you would be getting as high as a kite everyday too.

Ariana Grande is fine, on Sunday she was shooting a video at one of the historic mansions in Long Island one of my besties runs. It was also used for the greatest showman. Grandes crew showed up Friday and then left Monday. She was there and shooting all day Sunday. There were no accounts of her being drunk or on drugs, she was professional and courteous and her rider was relatively tame.

Seems simple to me, stop touring, take that high pigtail off your head, relax, de stress, no drugs or alcohol. Fix your shit. Hire a great accountant. Not interested in hearing about the selfishness--be grateful and own your life.

I’m not denigrating the Manchester attack by any means - that must have been horrific and left a lasting impression. That being said, I’m pretty certain the drug use and partying preceded that, and she’s been a coke head for a while.

Vita I'm definitely looking forward to Booksmart!

Nicole 100, while she's at it maybe stop dressing like a sexy child

TwoDots yeah this is hardly a new problem, she's been on the coke-and-salad diet for years

Thanks, Krissie, let me know if/when you catch it!

I was in a mass shooting where ppl (cops I knew) were getting mowed down 10 ft from me, nearly got shot myself & 5 yrs later someone beat me into a coma & left me for dead.
She wasn't even in the area where the bombing happened. I'm sure it was extremely traumatizing, but other ppl, like Eagles of Death Metal & the folks performing in Las Vegas experienced far, far worse.
You just get over it. That's the simplest way to deal with things like that. Trying to protect yourself from "trigger" words, images or presenting yourself constantly as a delicate victim on the verge of shattering is extremely harmful for your brain.
Also, I think her issues likely stem from childhood events and also her love of the substances. She was sniffing blow all the way back in 2013, so...

I do feel bad for Arianna. Substance abuse is a real issue, and I hope that she gets the help that she deserves.

Unknown said...

She did say she had professional help due to her parents' divorce. She's had issues from the get go, they are just added in layers at this point. She really needs a long break but, whether it's her decision or not, they'll milk her success while they can so she'll get triggered further until something bad happens.
Wouldn't be surprised to learn she began to use to escape those issues.

Unknown said...

It bothers me how people here tell her to "get over" her PTSD and question her even having it. It doesn't matter that she wasn't at the site of bombing. We don't know what's inside her head. She can feel guilty, stressed out, scared because those were her fans that were there for HER...and they died. Even Taylor has anxiety about safety in venues, and she had nothing of that sort happen to her. It's easy to judge but extremely hard to understand. That's a pity most prefer the former.
And no,I'm not her fan. But I try to see from her point of view; she was through A LOT.

Sandybrook's alter ego? Stay classy, tho you left out the parts about goatfucking

HouellebecqGurl-- Im so sorry you experienced both of those things, traumatic isnt a strong enough word. Makes me appreciate your wit and insights all the more.

I can't stand that little pig-tailed troll. Every one of her songs is so heavily auto-tuned it's ridiculous. Also, in that song "Thank you, Next" she uses the word F*ck in the most inopportune moment of the lyrics. It's like she was trying to fit it in there somewhere to make herself look cooler or something. I wish someone would chop off that hideous ponytail one night when she passes out.

DUUUUDE the ignorance, i can't!! sentence breakdown of your comment: step 1. invalidataion step 2. minimizing step 3. comparisons to other people step 4. more minimizing & blaming step 5. ignorance step 6. deeper ignorance ......

trauma is not something that happens to you, trauma is an INABILITY to cope and is the result of an over-flooded nervous system... ACUTE post-traumatic stress is the NORMAL response by healthy individuals who have experienced a trauma, it lasts around a month. PTSD is when it lasts longer than a month. it's chronic. and C-PTSD or complex PTSD is when a series of repeated traumas, usually "little t" traumas, and an inability to escape them for various reasons (hostage, cult, child-parent dynamic) happen. you LITERALLY can NOT just "get over it." hahaha. i can't this is just amazing. trauma that is never processed (as in PTSD) literally changes the structure of your brain. doctors have developed neurofeedback therapy to re-wire the brain as well as EMDR to process the traumas. many people including myself have complex ptsd from attachment trauma & emotional neglect ALONE.

Krissie said...

I do believe it's very possible she has PTSD. I am a lot more sure she just abuses drugs regardless.
