Let's grant that the only people worth knowing are weird. That doesn't mean all weird people are worth knowing. If you go out every day determined to get to know every weird person you encounter, you're going to end up wasting your time an awful lot.

@J, The saying is just that weird people are the only people worth knowing, not that all of them are. You also seem to be assuming that all weird people stand out, like they're not smart enough to blend in. Seems like most people have some weirdness if you get to know them.
When you think back to all the hundreds or thousands of people you've met or gotten to know over your life, who stands out? Who was worth knowing? Carbon copy people? People who said the same stuff as everyone else? Generic bimbos? Cookie cutter friends?

@INMFTG, Excluding crimes of passion or drug deals gone wrong, the normal seeming murderers are a hell of a lot scarier than the weird ones.
