Is There A Worse Celebrity Parent?
I have to stop calling Denise Richards the worst parent in the world because in the past few weeks I have seen some things that have even made me ill. I am disgusted with what some adults do to kids, especially their own. On a celebrity scale though, Denise is really right at the top of bad parenting. Not the very top because that is reserved for some of the parents I have written about in the long blind items and some that I haven't.
Now, with that out of the way, here is the latest chapter in the I have no shame when it comes to making a buck off my kids and scarring them for the rest of their lives book authored by Denise.
In an interview with In Touch who I guess was paying the most this week, that her two children are in therapy.
“My kids are in therapy. It’s very sad that they need to be there, but they do for now. On the other hand, it’s good they have an outlet to deal with their feelings and someone who is just their advocate.”
I agree her kids probably need therapy. With parents like theirs and the drama and crap they have gone through at such a young age, I think it is great they are in therapy. My problem is this. What business is it of ours that her kids are in therapy? What purpose does it serve other than stroking her own ego and her pocketbook to say that her kids are in therapy? If Denise was in therapy do you think she would be running to the magazines and saying she was in therapy? Well actually she probably would, especially if there was $20 in it for her.
Therapy is a private thing, especially for kids. From now on though Denise has ruined her children;s chances for private therapy. Every kid and parent at their schools will know they saw a therapist. What kind of parent sells out her kids like that?

Jeez, let 'em develop a (screw-up) personality of their own before hauling them off to therapy.
If your kids are having emotional problems, enough so that you have to get therapy for them, do you then whore them out on a so-called reality show? She's a waste of oxygen.

Instead of protecting them she enjoys having them in the public eye. They are 2 pretty little girls that should be protective not push to the camera just because she wants them to.
Instead of putting the blame on Charlie all the time she needs to really looks at herself.
Rake me over the coals for saying this, but what exactly makes Denise such a bad parent? Yes, she shouldn't have gone to this magazine and outed her kids being in therapy, but at least she is being proactive and giving her children a neutral outlet to talk about their feelings.
I watch her show and follow stories in the media about her, but not obsessively. She went through a nasty divorce, supposedly stole her best friend's husband, and lost her mother to cancer. Really, what is making her be a bad parent? Her kids are hardly shown on her show, if at all, it's for a few seconds.
I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt here, but I just don't understand all of the harsh comments.
I think she's playing the pity card: "Charlie is such a jerk, I am forced to put my poor little children in therapy to deal with what he's done to us."
She threw her kids under the bus in order to garner a little sympathy (BACKFIRED) and throw in a dig to Charlie.
Until Denise is doing coke with her daughters and chasing boys half her age with the two girls, Dina Lohan is still more loathesome.
Melanie Griffith, Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, The Hiltons, Tatum o'Neal, Ryan O'Neal, Anna Nicole Smith.... the list of bad celebrity parents could go on and on.
and let's not forget to put Charlie Sheen on the list.
What about Billy Ray, Joe Simpson and Hayden P's mom?

With those 2 as parents, those poor girls have no chance for a normal life.
The little girl on the right looks exactly like her dad!
OMG .. I just can't tell you how much I wish someone would kidnap these children to a wonderful home where they could be allowed to forget who their parents are and have a long, happy healthy life.
It is also wrong for me to wish that this b**ch and her ex-husband both never be mentioned, seen or even heard of again here or any where else for that matter? Barring that .. can we drop these two on a desolate island with no food and water?
What makes her a bad parent is every shitty thing she says about their father in public . Compare her to say, Reese Witherspoon or Demi Moore or Nicole Kidman or any other public figure who has or is going through a divorce who do not make a point of showing their kids off to paps at every opportunity, and do not attack their ex for the amusement of the public. Divorce is hard enough on kids without every classmate's mom reading about how your father is a pedophile who hires prostitutes-all accusations she has made in the press.

Can there please be a moratorium on Denise and Charlie? They suck worse than Britney, and she got banned long ago.
