The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus

As long as I am showing one trailer I thought I might as well go ahead and show the trailer for Heath Ledger's last movie. As you may remember, Heath was about halfway finished with his role in The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus before he died. Stepping in to replace him were three other actors who are pretty good in their own right. Johnny Depp, Jude Law & Colin Farrell. All four actors are in the trailer that was released yesterday.

The slim silver lining in the black cloud of losing Heath is that this movie probably wouldn't have been released for years, if ever, if it hadn't gotten the publicity of being Heath's last film. I LOVE Terry Gilliam, but that dude has the worst luck with his movies.

Loved the trailer. I hope the movie is just as good. Can't wait to see it.

i have no doubt in my mind that Johnny Depp does a brilliant Heath impression - it will probably be very subtle. *sigh* can't wait to see it.

I don't think I'll ever get over the loss of Heath Ledger.
I respected him as an artist with integrity, an unheard of attribute in Hollywood today. As I'm usually disappointed when I do make it to the theater, I tend to wait and rent at home. (The last movie I saw was 'Public Enemies,' and it was a farce. I was disappointed in Depp for involving himself.) I made an exception for any Heath Ledger project, and was not disappointed: Brokeback Mountain, Monster's Ball, Lords of Dogtown, etc. etc.

Such talent, gone so young. Truly tragic.

I saw this trailer this morning at another site, very strange. Doubt that I will see this movie too weird for me.

There's a great article in Vanity Fair this month about the last few month's of Heath Ledger's life, this movie, and how they managed to finish it after he died.

So, I was researching this movie on IMDb and I found this little piece of information that made me smile:

"Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law gave all the income they received for this movie to Heath Ledger's daughter Matilda so that her economic future would be secure."
