Julia Louis Dreyfus looks absolutely amazing. Growing old gracefully -- Julia's doing it right.
Why do I get the feeling Kate Gosselin is much like Paris Hilton in that she just doesn't understand we're laughing AT her, not with her.
Julia Ormond looks soooo different than when she first came on the scene.
ReplyDeleteKate Gosselin is like Paris Hilton in the fact that she still has a few (certifiably insane) fans, and she clings to their positive opinion to maintain her ego.

Looks like Jenna Fischer finally got a stylist. That's the best I've ever seen her look, her hair in particular.

ReplyDeleteI've never found Jennifer Carpenter to be very pretty. I've always thought she was wayyyyy too skinny even by Hollywood standards. However, she looked amazing last night. Great dress.
ReplyDeleteAlso loved Julia Louis Dreyfus. She looks better than she did 20 years ago. I wanted her to win her category just to hear what she'd say to CBS for treating her very good show like complete shit until they drove it off the air. She's been very vocal about her unhappiness with the network. There's no telling what she'd have said.
Agreed, Jennifer Carpenter looked great.

ReplyDeleteI swear I thought Ormond was high during her acceptance speech. She seemed incredibly flustered, manic, sweaty, whatever. And yes, her face did look different but whatevs - she's older now.

Ormond was not only completely frazzled during her speech, but her back looked awful in that dress. She probably couldn't stand still long enough to get it fitted properly or to try on another more flattering garment. Poor girl.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I have been watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer on DVD with the kids. Julie Benz was so great as Darla. Since then I have stopped watching tv so can't compare current roles. She looks like Christina Applegate to me now, no?
ReplyDeleteOne thing I'll say for Julia Ormond: go to a close-up of that picture at IMDB and you can tell she definitely hasn't botoxed her face into immobility. A natural beauty.

ReplyDeleteMCH's hair is curly and darker now. Perhaps it's a hairpiece. Can't wait for the new season of Dexter to start, just a few more weeks.
I lost a lot of respect for Julia Louise Dreyfus after the writers strike. Her and her crew picketed that last working day for Desperate Housewives(which is a channel I believe she didn't even work for) and gave Eva Longoria a hard time for showing up to work. And Eva even explained that she was doing it so the crew people would at least get a check before Christmas, and then bought the picketers pizzas. What Dreyfus failed to mention was she did the exact same thing on her show by crossing a picket line but without the pizza's I think she is a hypocrite and should just go off and live on her Senfield residuals.

ReplyDelete@ Basil - JLD doesn't have to live off of her Seinfeld residuals. Her father is a billionaire. (Yes you read that right, BILLIONAIRE.) She seems pretty down to earth for an heiress.
