Portman and John Hamm
Reese Witherspoon/Jon Hamm?
Jennifer Lawrence? Not sure on the male co-star.
Better sacrifice a Haitian child to make sure you sweep the awards.
Hamm has the Gandolfini curse. Best movies James made were pre-Sopranos in supporting roles. After he became a star he was the star of bad movies that never made money.
Are they typecast or just unlucky ?
I would argue James was always playing TS. Just like Jon is always playing DD.
To be less obvious you could have said name like pork lol
@TLT,anytime no underwear wearing is mentioned ,the answer is Jon Hamm. Portman could be it for the actress. Jennifer Lawrence should do a film with him.
DonnaMarie got it. Hamm is in talks to join Natalie Portman in Pale Blue Dot.
Portman got flack for Annihilation supposedly being whitewashed.
I think Jennifer Lawrence can bomb a movie all by herself tho?
@Brayson, or name like what you might have for Easter dinner.
+1 DonnaMarie
Natalie should consider her own inability to carry a film. Or act.
Hamm was good in a Baby Driver
Hamm has the acting chops and charisma, he just needs to clean up, get buff, and do a superhero movie. He is the Superman we need :)
Hamm was really good in The Town and Baby Driver.
If we’re talking flack for last movie, aside from jLaw, I actually think Brie Larson might have a good shot (still recovering from Basmati Blues)
J-Law and Hamm, I guess. And she's made two bombs in a row. She shouldn't be calling anyone box office bad luck. At least he had Baby Driver recently.
Natalie is a decent actress, but I think this is Jennifer L.
It's in the news

Hamm is a good actor and has great comedic timing.
LOVE the Hammaconda!
Red Sparrow has already made it's profit-not a bomb, Deadline, Forbes already addressed it-try again. This BI is about Portman and Hamm-Portman hasn't had a hit since what?, Black Swan??
Good link Donna!
I think Portman's performance would benefit from acting against someone like Hamm. When I think of her best roles it's usually been with a strong performer who can match her shot for shot.
I think Hamm was burned out from MadMen, took supporting roles in movies to not carry the ‘Load’
Box office mojo as of today:
Red Sparrow
Production Budget: $69 million
Domestic total as of March 13th: $33, 534,965
Hasn't even cracked $90 million including overseas.
Ma'am, congratulations, you have a bouncing baby bomb.
I always thought that Jon Hamm was playing himself in Bridesmaids.
Ha! Hamaconda! He probably can't find underwear that'll cage his Hamaconda! I loved him in The Town.
Surprised that Portmanteau does not insist on casting approval.
Jlaw is the dumb mother! of bombs. Whenever I see her name, I think Weinstein's main girl. Her films will always bomb since her sugar daddy lost his clout. I think she's going to suck back her other sugar daddy, the biggest asshole in hollyweird, David O Russell.
Portman. Curse auto correct.
+1 Brayson87
+1, Normal.
One-character actors.
OK, JLaw.
I love Jon Hamm and his unleashed Hammaconda! He was great in "Baby Driver" and very funny on "30 Rock" and "Children's Hospital." He's just not been used right in a leading role in a movie, but he may still nail it. He could be the Superman we need, but I could definitely see him in a modern Rock Hudson type romantic comedy role. But who could be his Doris Day?
Hamm is really good. Don't get how he left MM then does commercials. He was really good in the Town and Baby Driver. He just needs the right movie.
He was excellent in The Town.
Agree he would be a great Superman.
Kristen Wiig could make a good Doris Day or maybe Margot Robbie (love her).
