On the way to an award show last night, this former singer turned television actress was rude to her driver and refused to call him by his name. She just kept saying driver.

Mandy Moore?
+1
has to be Mandy.
her hair and dress made her look awful
So does her cold black heart.
What if his name is "Driver"?
Maybe something happened to precipitate it? Maybe the driver was rude to her first?
Our Mandy, full of Christ's love as usual.
Or maybe the fact that she's paying him to drive her doesn't mean she wants to be on a first-name basis with him. I don't think calling him "driver" is rude, just like I don't think calling the person taking your order in a restaurant "waiter" is rude. Now, if she had called him "asswipe", that would be different.
Haha
I do not think that is very rude. I am in Uber, cabs, and cars every week. A lot of these people are fine, but their names are very complicated. It is a situation where you can offend them by mispronouncing their name, or calling them by a pronoun.
Also saying Sir or Ma’am can be construed as racist to my surprise.
It is a tough situation. My shuttle driver last night was from China, and a nice enough guy. I did not even want to try disrespecting his name.
Sea Hag,
Officially it's "President Ass Wipe."
Ha ha ha, Thorne! What if her driver was Adam Driver?
Maybe she has the same one a lot for this to be anything worth doing as a blind? As in she knows him well but was being a snit and refusing.
I do love the idea that this was Adam Driver, lol.
Good GOD, saying sir and ma'am can be considered racist? That's just how I was raised, and use the terms regardless if the person is younger or older than me. (If it's obviously a younger woman, I'll say Miss.) Guess it's just time to shut it all down at this point. Geez.
Very Nice And Interesting Post, thank you for sharing

Just to be equally invalidating, I'd refer back to her as 'passenger!'
LOL!
What the hell happened to Mandy Moore? I thought Enty used to like her. I remember some pretty sympathetic blinds about her a few years back. Is she just a hardened bitch now?
And this blind was brought to you by Mean Girls Inc! As long as she paid what was due, didnt racially abuse him or didnt damage the car it doent matter what you call the driver. I use an Uber twice a day and just refer them as Sir/ Mam!
Seems as though the way the blind is written, she knows the guy and was just being rude.
Although it did occur to me that it might be Adam Driver, and it would be redundant to call him Driver Driver.
There used to be more sympathetic Moore blinds when she was dating junkie Ryan Adams. I think she had her hands full with that one.
i'm late to the game this morning, but first thought was Mandy Moore. i can't stand her.
the sole reason why i won't watch her show.
Calling someone sir or ma'am is racist??? WTF????
I love Mandy Moore. These blinds legit pain me, which is why I'm asking what the deal was. As I said, I know I've read other blinds which suggested to me that Enty was sympathetic to her plight...
Previous blinds suggest that she feels entitled to awards and is dumbfounded that she is not as successful as Crissy. Pretty girl, soso actress who cheated on her husband.
Ex to be specific
Hung out with her a couple of times ~10 years ago when she was trying to be more of a Carol King type singer. She was nothing but nice. From her social media it looked like she went with a friend, so perhaps she thought she was being funny and it backfired?
For it to have been reported to Enty at all, she must have said it in a snotty way. Otherwise, I don’t see a driver being upset by it. Or...could be the driver or someone else reporting completely false info, just to be spiteful. I’ll withhold judgement at this time. ☺️
She could have been drunk, or stressed, and just not have remembered his name.
Mandy Moore comes off as a spoiled, self righteous b*tch.
Can't flipping stand Mandy Moore. She was terrible in Entourage and is the single thing standing between me and ever giving This Is Us a chance.
So what?! Maybe she's focused. People have lives!
If a driver doesn't like the title "driver" ...then don't be one!!
maybe she was to high to remember his name?
What would she call Minnie Driver?
Minnie Actress?
And would we get a blind about that?
I doubt she’s Christian. Not many in Hollywood are.
Everything is racist. Anything a white person says or does is racist. You missed the memo?
@ astra
The sad thing is that, the very act of calling everyone 'racist' negates any progress that has been made thus far. It sets us right back in 1920.
