They used to be a super close father/offspring duo. Not any longer. The actor, who is permanently A-/B+ list is someone all of you know. He has been in hit movies and hit television shows. He is an Emmy nominee/winner. His list of credits might be longer than just about anyone. Several years ago he cheated on his long time wife with someone much younger. That someone much younger got pregnant. The wife found out and filed for divorce. It crushed her. She died soon after and the sole offspring of the pair blames the actor/dad for the death.

The Patton Oswalt and Michael Ian Black accusations were made by the same gang behind the James Gunn and Dan Harmon claims, the ones that Enty amplified here.
As a summary...
A bunch of assholes from 4Chan and The_Donald channel at Reddit were angry about the many tweets by James Gunn on Trump and lamented about the PC culture that resulted in getting Roseanne Barr fired. They decided to retaliate against the liberals, writing stuff like “If they get to take scalps for someone making racist jokes, we get to take scalps for them making paedophilia joke.” So, they combed his many, many tweets and did indeed find paedophilia jokes. It worked, Mike Cernovich started a campaign against Gunn and it got him fired.
Of course, don't forget that the guys at 4Chan are probably the worst fighters you could find against child pornography. A lot of people there share hentai pictures involving underage girls, and there are also actual photographs posted there. It's basically as if the headquarter of an anti-cocaine operation was set up at Studio 54.
After this early success, they tried exactly the same approach on another vocal Trump opponent on Twitter, Dan Harmon, using a very low budget Dexter spoof he had shot years before, where the main character, instead of having serial killer impulses, was molesting children (the sketch used plastic dolls). It made the news, Dan Harmon deleted his Twitter account, but he wasn't fired.
As I said, Gunn and Harmon were also targeted here by a series of blinds and reveals that claimed that there was fire under the smoke, and that many people assume to be true because Enty said so.
For the third wave, they took various targets with a well-known anti-Trump slant on Twitter, like Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman and Michael Ian Black. This time, the 4Chan morons mostly took quotes out of context (part of a hashtag meme or the kicker of a joke set up in the previous tweet) to smear them, using, once again, Cernovich as a spokesperson. But all these campaigns ultimately failed, the celebrities came up with retorts and have remained active on Twitter. Which doesn't prevent a few enthusiasts to repost the same stuff over and over, because their smoking gun has been unfair buried by the (((mainstream media))).
Oh, by the way, Cernovich, who's repeatedly advocated for legal rape, is currently trying his best (which is, in his case, not much) to distance himself from the Jeffrey Epstein case, where his tries to get non-redacted legal documents resulted in him siding with Alan Dershowitz and Epstein's lieutenant, Ghislaine Maxwell, against one of her victims.
