Blind Item #4

The leader of the British cult accused of duping teenage members into taking out business loans to fund his lifestyle is sleeping with at least two of the church's pastors. Both are men he claims to be mentoring and rewarded handsomely for their loyalty to his cause. Think sports cars and designer suits.

I can understand the US but how the f*** does a Religious clut operate in the most unreligious Country on the planet?

These cults are all the same, it seems. Not aware of this current one, but sounds no different than what the top leaders of yesterday's cults were up to...they all preach communal values and philanthropy to the minions while top leaders live in luxury. The Process Church of Final Judgment, Children of God, Rajneeshi/Baghwan followers, Moonies...all the damn same.

Has anyone noticed that in today's climate those annoying multi-level pyramid scheme companies are kinda taking the place of new religious movement cults? Talk about indoctrination. I always shed a tear and scream out "NOOOOO....MAN DOWN!" when I see a loved one suddenly start spamming their social media feeds shilling crap body wraps, shampoo that causes hair loss, or "edible" essential oils claiming these products have supposedly "changed their lives" and turned them into "boss bitches"...😑 I hear the trumpet playing Taps in my mind with each obligatory 'unfollow' I have to click afterward.

Yes! @YummyBoogers. Totally agree. I changed my social media (FB) settings so that a friend/family member can't automatically add me to whatever FB get rich quick scheme they are trying to unload this week with a new group page. I get notices from them for get thin quick drinks, ugly jewelry, vitamins, skin care, clothing, and the dreaded essential oils. Ugh.

Considering that 'spacka' or 'spacca' is a derogatory schoolyard-ish term for those less fortunate in the brains department in Britain, I'm surprised that a cult called 'Spac Nation's ever caught on here.

What next? The Church of Tards? Temple of Windowlicking? International Ashram of Lego brick eaters? Islam?
