I didn't see who won. I really don't understand why a fictional biopic of Judy Garland was necessary. Her life has been documented to every minute detail. We have her brilliant performances captured on film forever. There are interviews of what a mess she was just months before she died. I get that it's feel good to pretend she took two astonished overwhelmed gays to dinner but yeah, she probably didn't unless they were paying and had drugs.
She has living children who have told first hand about what living with her was like. She was a complicated funny extremely talented extremely damaged drug addict who was probably heaven and hell to be around.
What a dumb idea for a movie, especially as Oscar bait for an A- list actress who was a Harvey girl...and not the kind Garland played.
If Charlize didn't win there's a Bachelor contestant with bruises today. I hope they agreed on "no permanent marks" before the session.
Therons performance was probably the best of the last five years.
Jlo deserved a nom and didn't get one. Florence did and got one. She will give endless blinds for the future, the idea that she is 'dating' Zach!?!

oh, there was an awards show last night?
How can everyone be toting THE IRISHMEN when buzz everywhere is what a snooze fest it was and how many folks turned it OFF NETFLIX without even finishing it!
Last night means Critics Choice awards, and Renee and Laura Dern --both A- list actresses-- won. Theron, Robbie, Ronan and Johansson are all A list to Enty so noy them either and J Lo is ALWAYS listed as A list in her own mind, so not her either.
That leaves Lupita, Awkwafina, Cynthia Erivo and Florence Pugh, all who meet the A- level and were nominated for CC awards. Given the wording of the blind, it suggests they lost last night but their managers are still saying they could win, i.e. an Oscar. So that leaves it either Pugh or Erivo, neither of whom has a chance in hell of winning. Given the Erivo is against Renee who is guaranteed to take it for Judy, and she's in a usually catnip historical biopic, I am going with Erivo for this

I know of no caffeine on earth that makes someone think JLo deserves an acting award. That takes hard drugs. Or mental illness.
No of course not, she's not A. But as an in demand rising star who's led a couple films she's definitely A- level.
That Bombshell movie was dumb and no one went to see it. How TF do you get a nomination on the back of that shit? JLo playing a ho? Does that really count as acting?!?
No, this should be Zellwegger's award.
Also, Kathy Bates deserves the award for Jewell.
I think they should bring back James Franco and Anne Hathaway as hosts to show the world how hip and young the Oscars are. James can talk about his "acting" classes and demonstrate on Anne.
I was really rooting for Catherine O'Hara to win best actress in a comedy series.
