These photos of Robert Downey Jr. in GQ are some of the oddest photos I have seen in a very long time. From the Hunter S. Thompson vibe to the obsession with fishnet and spitting, it all seems a bit much. I'm sure all of you will probably like them, and I guess it could convey RDJ and what he has gone through, but to me, it is just kind of weird. Hm well the pictures are interesting, but not exactly ground breaking. I'd much rather look at these than those awful Posh/Marc Jacobs photos.

Is that his wife in those shots? I hope so. I hate it when famous married dudes pose for magazines with random skanky models instead of their wives. Don't know why, but it just bugs me.
These aren't any scarier than the ones with his sons at the BB game. He looks like Ringo Starr and that's not a good thing (sorry Ringo if you're reading).

I lived in LA for a few years and once at that bookshop on the boardwalk in Venice Beach (where I lived) I found a poetry chapbook he'd written. It was beyond preverse. really.
