It's About Damn Time
The National Enquirer is reporting that Queen Latifah is going to marry her trainer. Considering the fact that the Queen has never actually come out, this might be a shock to the guys who had hopes of landing the Queen. Come on. Everyone knows, and frankly, I couldn't be happier.
Queen Latifah is going to take advantage of the new law in California that goes into effect next week and will allow her to marry her long time companion and trainer Jeanette Jenkins.
I think that the new law will bring some very interesting twists to gay and straight relationships in California and around the world. Lets say you are a closeted gay actor or actress and your partner has not really minded being hidden because, it wasn't like you could get married or something. Well now you can and the long hidden partner may start wanting to come out of the shadows and get married.
What comes first, the career or the person you want to marry? This could be very interesting.

Congratulations to the lovely couple. I suspect Hollywood will be awash with out lesbians, while their gay brthers still cower in the closets.
OT - did you see Blaaaake changed his plea to guilty mid-trial? We don't do plea-bargaining, so he must be hoping for leniency from the judge in sentancing.

Queen Latifah is trash. She stiffed me on a tip at a chain restaurant. And she needs a new trainer. Clearly this one aint getting it done.

Thank god. I remember watching an interview with her a looooooooong time ago (15ish years?) where she was saying that she thinks being gay is gross and she hates those rumors about her.

Oh, and what about Charlize and Stuart? She made the same claim about not marrying until gays could.
Might be interesting to see what other excuse they'll all invent to not marry each other, since we all know that's what they really mean.
Gotta disagree, Enty. Closeted people in show business will stay closeted. Entertaining isn't what they do, it's what they are and they won't be willing to jeopardize their careers to get married.

Why do you have to come out to be married? I'd just get married on the DL and have the best of both worlds.
